Very beautiful place, but in autumn/winter not much will be beautiful, the water has gone far away, it's cold and windy. Everything's closed. Will definitely come back here in the summer. But a lot of things are beautiful on this promenade Huge and the water goes so far back you wouldn't believe it. Came here again for the airshow which was Interestingly hot for once 27'c however there is literally no sense of humanity regarding toilets from the businesses. Quiet on a brilliant coastline I visited today and the tide was out so couldn't reach the sea to paddle as its dangerous with the quicksand and mud also a few sea puddles left over but instead had a really nice walk along the and prom the pier was closed due to issues there was no one hardly about due to off-peak season but still the sun was shining and it was very windy along the seafront here close to cinema bowling alley and retail park the aint that far from the town either but If you want to go swimming or paddling I recommend Ainsdale as there is so much room for everyone on the Good Very large , not many people on it as it was very muddy/boggy. You can’t walk on the pier either. Lovely It's not the same as i remember we will NOT be going back. Some people may have a different opinion. There was nothing there. A good place to hangout but if you are expecting some sea then you might need to walk more. Take a beer and relax in the lap of nature.. As a family we have fond memories of southport growing up. We decided to let go of our mums ashes here so we could always come back and remember her at such a beautiful place. Lovely to come for a walk in all weathers Beautiful ⛱️ so quiet and peaceful ✌️ gorgeous sunset we had on new years day it was clean too parking was reasonable and food places were available excited to visit in summer ☀️ Well worth a visit A great place to visit, the kids will love it, plenty of rides and attractions to go on, the town is lovely. There are plenty of shops with a wide variety of things, and plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. Excellent ! Broad sands Safe for Children Miles of Gorgeous seafront Come to Southport and enjoy ! Nice on a sunny day It's a ok not the cleanes tho Wonderful Went here in a day in August, was absolutely gutted to find the tide didn't come in until 7.30pm! The kids had a which didn't even have clear sand, it was all black underneath and not soft to play in. As there was no water and a very hot day, was disappointed to have gone. The scenery however, was nice to enjoy nearby near the lake with swan and flamingo boat rides. The boat rides cost £15 for 30 minutes ( have to time yourself on a mobile) for only 4/5 people on a boat at a time. Two people have to paddle with their feet, can get a bit tiring though. There are some other boats on opposite side which charge £5 for adults and £4 for children each. All in all nyc place to stroll for a walk otherwise if no tide then wouldn't recommend to take your children!
