Really disappointed with the facilities. They seem nice but I will not have a chance to use gym or spa since the opening time is 9 to 17:00… bear in mind there is towels under request extra. It was okay, unfortunately one of the main selling points for us was the fitness and wellness center, which is apparently only available on reservations and was completely full during our stay. Reception was hard to reach This place is located away from the hustle of a city. Very quiet (except the frogs at night 😂) But the few days there really recharged my battery. Very nice people working there. The houses are awesome. Very Cozy and there is enough space between neighbors. We had a bbq in the evening and listened to the birds and the frogs (They had a party of their own) But I can only recommend a stay here. The room we stayed in was very nice and we had a calm and relaxing time. However, a few things left a sour taste: - we were given a check-in time between 16:00 and 18:00 and were given attitude by the receptionists when arriving 17:30 - then they gave us the keys for the wrong house. When we got back everything was closed off. Had to call the main number to have a janitor find and open the correct house for us. - no sorry or anything from the reception the next morning. Instead, they again gave us more attitude and unfriendly comments - same again when checking out Even in the worst hotels I never experienced such unfriendly staff towards paying guests that gave the impression that they don't want to be there and don't want you to be there. At least there's the option to check in (and maybe out) via the post box so one doesn't need to interact with them. Quiet area, good location with new shalets. There are many activities to choose between (cycling, hiking in Veluwe zoom, visit Doesburg, Dieren, Arnhem, do water sports...). The stuff at the reception is very friendly and helpful. We had some bad experience - our chalet was not cleaned after the previous clients who have been obviously very messy. They sent someone to do a very quick cleaning but it was just a brief one while we were waiting outside. We did a better cleaning afterwards. There were some spiderwebs, shoe prints and dirt on some walls and inside 1-2 cupboards. I hope it was only us to experience that. Disappointing Experience at EuroParcs Marina Strandbad - Never Again My family and I stayed at EuroParcs Marina Strandbad from October 1st to 6th 2024, booking the "Chalet type Waterlodge 4." Unfortunately, the first night was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, we encountered a terrible sewage smell coming from the boat-house throughout the night. By morning, my 7-year-old had a headache, likely due to the odor. A technician who arrived to fix the non-functioning Wi-Fi and TV also commented on the smell. We were moved to the "Chalet type Cube la Mer 4," which we were told was an upgrade and that this costs 200€ more than the boathouse. By checking the price online, I was very surprised to see that actually the "Chalet type Cube la Mer 4" was cheaper than the boathouse we paid for. Furthermore, it was neither on the water nor as luxurious as the Waterlodge we booked. When I expressed my concerns to the manager of the front desk, she informed us that this was the only available accommodation. She also offered to refund the full amount and suggested that we could leave, which we found quite disappointing. As a gesture, she offered complimentary bread or croissants for the rest of our stay. This dismissive treatment left us feeling undervalued as guests. Only after I wrote to the managment of the EuroParcs the same lady from the front desk came back with 2 house options and a refund of 70€ as compensation. I would never recommend this accommodation again, as it has been my worst experience so far.
