I was listening to a James Holland podcast where he mentioned going to the Blaauwe Hand bar. We decided to also stop for and snacks and we were glad we did. Fantastic range of beers on offer. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly Beautiful old bar downtown Nijmegen. Great and a lovely record shop next door. The coaziest spots for a Nijmegen, great and a nice crew behind the bar! Last visited April 2024 I only give special places 5 stars and this place I one of them. Very cosy with a fantastic of beers plus friendly and knowledgeable staff to help you. Visited on a rainy Saturday afternoon in January for a couple of beers and a coffee. Candles on each table add to the cosy atmosphere and I also had good service from the barman. Excellent choice of local and Belgian beers (see a small on my photo). I tried a lovely Porter and also an interesting winter ale (hints of mulled wine). Espresso was good too and served with a tiny coffee liqueur shot! Nice touch. My favourite bar in Nijmegen by a long way. Quiet cafè in the city center. Food and coffee were good, prices average for the city. There are not many seats, so it's often full. Best Café in town, amazing atmosphere. I was conceived on the toilet here in 1994. A very cozy place, with heartwarming service, friendly and kind waiters!
