Really great to do. Of course somewhere in the middle you deserve a fresh baked apple pie with a cup of coffee. Yes! Great location, helpful staff who were ready to speak on English to foreigners. They didn’t have a baby chair but went out of the way to help us with one (asked the neighbouring restaurant ). Food portions were decent and fresh. Wouldn’t mind going back if ever in Tollkamer. Maybe too Dutch style for me. I had the chicken satay. It came smothered in too much bad sauce. The chicken itself was okay. Greatly enjoyed my meal here. I was here with my family and partner. The latter doesn't speak Dutch, so we'd prepared to translate the menu for him on-the-go, but we didn't need to, as they have an English menu! For our starters, we had squid rings, bread and asked for some nachos. All of these were great. I love that there were different types of bread and various toppings for said bread. For my main, I had the schnitzel + mushroom sauce, which was simply gorgeous! Unfortunately, all of us were stuffed when we were done with our mains, so we didn't get a chance to try any of the desserts. Prices are very reasonable, especially the drinks. Definitely give this quaint little restaurant a go if you're in the area! Nice restaurant, good food, good atmosphere, and great view of the river. Good burger, if a little stingy on the chips and a bit messy to eat. Nice to sit by the Rijn and plenty of seating.
