Great place to visit if you love and nature. We took a of the winery. They explain the process and the history of the place and in the end there's a testing (tour was in German, luckily we had a couple of friend who can translate). You can also have a nice lunch in the nearby village or just go on a hike in the area. My husband and me had a vineyard including tasting. It’s such a great experience! The guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much about the vineyard history. Went on a private of the winery. Shout out to Martina for being an awesome host! Such an experience walking through the vineyards, the palace, and the cellar. After which comes the usually tastings. Would recommend anyone to go for this tour! 100% recommend their 8 package (€10)! of beautifully crafted dry white using local grape varieties. Staff was friendly and informative! On its own, the you get through the vineyards and the cellars is very nice and you get a good idea of how this big company / cooperation works. It's a very commercialised and session, which is not necessarily bad, but it's something one should be aware of. For beginners, this is a good starting point in Wachauer wine. However, if you are a afficionado, I would highly recommend going to one of the smaller, family-run wineries in the area to get a more personalised experience and a more extensive and higher-quality session. We visited the in August 2024. Although we booked the day before without availability issues, booking in advance is still recommended I would say. We paid 18 euro for each ticket. Tours happen every Friday and Saturday from 2pm to 3:30pm. The cellar visit and the are only guided and the downside of it is that they are in German. However the guide, was explaining to us few things in English right after she explained in German, which was very handy. On the you get to try four wines plus some bread. They are friendly and the visit to the cellar is really cool. After the there's a shop with very reasonable prices. I was given a very informative of the estate, including a visit to the beautiful vineyard behind the winery. A great day, including a of their excellent white wines. Christopher guided us through a lovely experience of and learning about the styles of and wineries in the area. There are no views from the winery, no restaurants and no tours of the property. The boasts of its highly awarded whites. Thank you for Anja! You were a great host. We have learned a lot from the Domäne and the wines. Highly recommended! We did the 8 for 10€ which was amazing value for money! Christopher spoke excellent English and gave us lots of information on each and spares it to our personal taste. Would definitely recommend doing this if you are in Dürnstein!
