Since 2020 I never visited the monastery. In 2023 a fire distroyed a big part of houses. They are working now to re-build. The monastery looks good! The fire didn't touch it! Monastery with a beautiful church. There is also a shop. Nearby a museum built on the original foundations and remaining walls of an old church. Next to that also what appeared to be foundations of ancient Roman buildings. Description in Romanian language only at the time of my visit. Nice and peaceful place to visit in the country near to Ploiesti. It is a renovated old historical monastery looking very clean and beautiful, with really nice liturgical services. The best honey you can find, produced right in the monastery, at an incredibly good price. Also, you can find other astonishing products, like really natural tea or vintage soap (with precious oils and plant extracts). The in-house store is low on stocks during the week, maybe it's better equipped on the weekend, but that's when is also very crowded. The pace is wonderful...peace ...quiet ..a lot of flowers and color, you will feel relax and in peace. If you go there don't forget to buy honey it's very very good, especially it's made there.
