Just by chance, because it was a beautiful evening and we wanted to get a picture of the Mary Mcleese Bridge at a different angle that we decided to walk down along the river bank. It was so nice and relaxing after a long day of hiking. We even got to see a playful seal swimming while playing hide and seek with us onlookers. Only disappointing things to see were several bags of rubbish just left there, dog poo on the path, shopping trollys and road cones thrown in river. Very well maintained great walking track along Boyne river, also playground for kids make it perfect place for family day out. the is gorgeous, the flowers are well kept, however the bins desperately need more frequent emptying during busy hours, and someone needs to move along the large groups of teenagers using drugs, blocking the entire footpath, and being dangerous on bikes or e-scooters (especially around families with children) that often hang out here.
