My twins had their 1st lesson. Absolutely brilliant teacher. One was very nervous and crying, but the teacher allowed my husband to stand poolside for the whole lesson so he had daddy's reassurance. My other twin thinks he's a pro swimmer after one lesson, the convenience he has after his 1st lesson is amazing. I visited Aura today, and I found the experience to be absolutely despicable and disastrous. Shockingly, they allowed a woman to enter the pool in the WATER fully clothed, including wearing a veil. Even more concerning, the man accompanying her presumably the husband was also fully dressed in regular clothes and did not respect the rules of the pool. This raises serious concerns about hygiene standards. What kind of policy does the facility have in place regarding appropriate swimwear and sanitation? Such practices are not only unhygienic but also reflect poorly on the management’s commitment to public health and safety for EVERYONE! Looking for a gym and never having been in the place once, I just read a few nit so good reviews and decide not to join them! Not in a million years would I leave a penny there. Three reviews was enough and the overall rating is also crap. Aura is definitely the best fitness center in Drogheda. The are amazing, always attentive, helpful and kind. I would like to thank Adam, who is extremely focused on the needs of his students and has helped me a lot, Bernard for the best water aerobics class, and Noula, who is wonderfully helpful at reception. Murphy Been there few times in the gym it was an experience I had good time even came to help me ☺️. Pool is not that busy what I like and water is perfect temperature in simple words love it. (+) nice and friendly teachers (-) facilities: there are ~8 babies in each group but only 3-4 changing rooms suitable for babies.. Several times I had to change a 5 months old on the floor.. (-) staff: not helpful, sometimes rude. Not being able to solve any questions. However, when a person is taking a picture there are several members running to them prohibing taking the pics. (-) re-booking: paid for re booking but ended up not being on the list. Lady at the reception couldn't sort it (again) and I had to write multiple times to resolve it. (-) health and safety: the front door didn't work so they opened the fire exit (right next to the pool) and kept it open for the entire class raising a risk of getting sick. Would be great if managent could listen and act on feedback to make this place better. Came here last time and had a good experience with my 4 kids, one of them is 8 and last time they let him in but this time the lady at the reception wouldn't let him. She spoke to me really rudely when I was just trying to prove my point how the rules say under 8. My daughter is 15 and was willing to go in the pool with him. My son was upset the entire time. I’ve just been made aware that the at aura Drogheda asked a mother to leave the pool area while her baby. It is a shame that the at aura lacks support for mothers especially when in public is protected under Irish law and when pools are considered public places in Ireland. So the was not only unhelpful but also acting against laws.
