One of the best meals I had on my Irish vacation. Beef and Guinness stuff was wow! The sweet potato fries made perfectly. Highly recommend stopping in for lunch especially if going to see Oliver Plunkets heat at St Peters church Really nice little pub on the main street in Drogheda. Wonderful food - full size wooden oven cooked pizza and chips for kids 5 euro. That's unbeatable value and very very tasty too. Homemade vegetable soup and brown bread for a fiver too really good. The barman on the day was very friendly and helpful offering us everything we needed and was he who recommended the kids pizza deals. Highly recommended! We found this place by chance whilst wandering around and it did not disappoint! We were served by Josh who was lovely The food was absolutely amazing with large portion sizes which we packed and took home for a second dinner. The atmosphere here is really nice and we had a relaxing meal whilst watching the footie, really sad that we were just passing through and don’t live here because we want to come back so bad! Tasty soup, brown bread. Tea particularly well made. and you get enough for two cups. Ambience relaxed, welcoming, experienced, prompt service, experienced staff. Solid healthy lunch for eight euro. cannot recommend this place hugely enough. my favourite place in Bray. It's a split business between "Grey Goosey Goose" and "IL forno... cation?...(Jk), with a little alleyway in between with some stools and tables smaller than usual in the hallway but it's visually interesting and not a typical space which is honestly refreshing as the alleyway leads to a small-ish area out back with a stairway up onto a balcony all around which I appreciated and led back down into the bar downstairs although their was a fancy event space/cocktail-ish bar upstairs for private events. The interior is very nice, just a really lovely interior with friendly staff with food served regularly which tbh looked quite enticing. Been here 3 nights in a row Staying in town for work . Foods been fantastic Service is spot on The atmosphere is chilled and peaceful which is perfect after a long day of working. Will be back for sure We love this place. They are making the best cocktails in Drogheda. The staff are super friendly. Awesome Pub , was celebrating everything there from birthdays to random gathering with friends. All Pub staff and even security was like family to me . Best regards From twin brothers :) If you’re going to charge €20 for a pizza it better be very good..today’s pizza was worth no more than a fiver. We’ve been going here for quite a while and always enjoyed the food but a big increase in costs and a big drop in quality will ensure I think twice about returning. Disappointing Due to Arbitrary Decision-Making I recently visited The Grey Goose, hoping for a pleasant evening out, but my experience was overshadowed by an unreasonable refusal at the door. Upon arrival, the security staff asked if I had consumed alcohol beforehand. I honestly answered that I had drank one beer while walking to the bar and placed the empty bottle in the bin directly across the road less than 30 seconds before. Despite this, I was denied entry based on the assumption that people who drink beforehand are "more likely to cause trouble." This reasoning felt arbitrary and unfair, especially given the context. Scientifically, it is impossible for the effects of alcohol from a single beer to show within such a short period of time, less than 5 minutes in this case. I displayed no signs of intoxication or disorderly behavior, yet my entry was denied solely due to a broad and unsupported assumption. Afterwards I visited three other bars that evening, each time having at least two beers, and encountered no issues. I was welcomed without judgment and treated based on my behavior, not assumptions. This made the refusal at The Grey Goose even more puzzling and disappointing. While I respect a bar's need to ensure a safe place, I believe decisions like this should be made on observable behavior rather than stereotypes. I hope the management reviews its policies to ensure fairness and a welcoming atmosphere for responsible people in the future.
