Thank you so much for your guided of the Martello Tower and the pivotal of Drogheda that affected so much in Ireland and in Europe. I hope many more take the chance to hear one of the best lessons I've ever had. I understand the relationship between Britain and Ireland so much better. Goodness knows how long it took to put the model Battles together too. So pleased to make out to Drogheda with my cousin. There's a challenge for local museums in terms of how best to cover their entire community history. And a challenge in relying on enthusiastic volunteers. There is much of interest here but the guided tours/talks skim the surface of some and avoid others. A new centepiece of the major Irish contribution to the Battle of Waterloo now overshadows the local aspects of the Irish Civil War and the sieges of the Wars of the Three Kingdoms. 6 Euro entry for adults. As someone else described it’s a very eclectic museum so there are a bunch of quirky little collections to explore. The guides are also great and very knowledgeable. Come for the view, stay for the history. Had great time, the guide was informative and was cracking great historical jokes 😁 Museum is paid entry. We parked there. Difficult to get to as I took the wrong road turn off - (Google maps used). Walked around, looked at the views. Could not get to the tower, gate closed but that might be included in the tour. We had a great guided throught he Millmount tower. Please be aware that during windy weather you won't be able to visit the tower, thus, plan your trip considering the weather conditions. Nice guide personal and cool museum in a beautiful building Brought a friend here and although reaching it is somewhat difficult without directions had a good time. Staff were lovely and brought us on a with just the two of us and a staff member. The itself was interesting and I would definitely recommend it. This place is so interesting. Our guide ready made it. Was one of our most memorable visits to a very interesting museum. Great detail regarding the of the area. The museum staff seem to enjoy their work and explaining the complicated of Drogheda to us the visitants. Totally recommended to learn new things, see cool artefacts and how people lived in Ireland back then, and to get really good panoramic views of the city! Thank You for a really brilliant guided tour. I loved to learn about Drogheda's impressive and archaeology. You are doing a great job with all Your heart.
