Staff were friendly. Food came very quick and was hot. The curry sauce smelt and tasted like proper curry sauce. But today we were unpleasantly surprised when we were seated in a room with screaming children, throwing toys everywhere and presented with a very limited menu printed on a piece of paper. They had no vegetarian options or had a drink’s menu. Also the staff were very rude so we just got up and left. Never again. I’ve never experienced such a lack of professionalism from a manager in my life, the food was incredible and our server was very nice, when we were finished our food a friend of my asked to have her food to go as she still had half of her pasta, while taking the plates away the server accidentally put dirty tissues on her plate we all noticed this and assumed it would be said to us and some fresh would be made, instead we receive the back with a chip in it that wasn’t there when it was taken by the server, I remember picking up a couple chips that had fallen onto the table with a napkin that I handed to the server so I would assume it fell out onto the food when the napkins were taken off, we bring this to the attention of the manager and she tells us it’s not something he would do and that we put the tissues in the pasta; after some back and forth my friend decides she doesn’t want to wait for the so we just ask for it to be comped so we can leave and the manager proceeds to comp €6 out of the €16 it costs saying my friend ate over half. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life, any manager in their right mind would be profusely apologising and comping the because what we experienced was pretty disgusting. After some more arguing she comps the full €16 and proceeds to argue with my boyfriend on our way out and give us all dirty looks. My boyfriend owns a restaurant so we are all very aware and understanding that stuff like this happens and people forget and everything would’ve been forgiven if she had handled the situation correctly. Really selection of food, quite traditional but very quality. They also have a great gluten free menu which was very welcome for our group. Our servers were very friendly and efficient. Amazing staff, really kind, they got us a table really fast and the food came quick. The food was amazing with great prices and with lots of variety. Will definitely come again one day! This is my 2nd visit to this wonderful family run pub. It has plenty of parking for cars and trucks and offers a selection of food and drink to cater for all tastes. On this visit I sampled the garlic bread, chicken curry with rice and chips and the homemade apple tart. The chicken curry was a surprise, packed with flavour and lots of of chicken. The staff are friendly and efficient and the guiness is as as it gets. Strongly recommend you visit this bar.
