The place to be! Great food and great craic. Phenomenal with excellent management. Authentic modern Irish experience and a true gem. A must stop whilst near Drogheda or worth the drive from wherever you are! Great atmosphere to watch sports and eat. They have a good variety of options and promotions during matches with a big screen outside. The burger of the photo is the one of the promo of burger + pint for €10. We also ordered the parmesan fries which are magnificen. Gone to the dogs since it was renovated under new management it was made to be a more sporty kind of bar, were promised big things and what drogheda needed but didn't turn out like that whatsoever. It was a great spot before that when it was more fancish and had great music, food and vibes always packed on weekends but it's not anymore. I would avoid this place now even the kind of they let in now prove it. Such a let down. I've been in it twice since its renovation and made the decision of not going back for the foreseeable. If you're looking for a fancish bar with good food, vibes and music Trinity quarter is your spot only a short walk down the road. Everyone I've talked to about this place doesn't step foot in it anymore. They Should've left it the way it was. And the reviews in recent times prove it so different from the reviews before the new management. Foods alright but I would still Avoid. This is the most ideal place for me to recreate in Drogheda. No other places come closer to the satisfaction I get whenever I’m there. 🥰 My fish and chips were delicious! Crispy on outside and the fish was lovely and moist inside. Chips likewise and the peas also excellent! Service was also excellent, atmosphere very pleasant, clean and we enjoyed the background music. My two companions also really enjoyed their lasagna and chicken curry. 😋 This was our second visit since the new management, and I would be thinking twice to go there again. I asked to take home the pasta which I couldn’t finish and they gave it to me in a cardboard box!? I mean seriously, the taste of cardboard sauce is something else… the are nice and friendly but food needs to be improved. I made a reservation more than 10 days in advance to celebrate my birthday on October 19th. Despite confirming my reservation by phone and writing to the owner, when we arrived, there was no table reserved for us, and we were told the kitchen had closed at 6 pm (even though I had been told over the phone that it closed at 8 pm). The manager agreed to serve us some small snacks, but her attitude left much to be desired. My friends waited more than 15 minutes at the bar to order drinks (the place was practically empty), and with an annoyed attitude, the manager told us the bar closed at 11 pm, even though it was only 9 pm. I will definitely not return to Weavers. Service really lets the whole place down. are sharp and unfriendly and management are unprofessional. Left after 1 drink having planned to stay for food and drinks to watch a match. Atmosphere is dead as nobody wants to stay long because of the service and there’s no value for money, can’t pay top prices for flat pints and 10 minute wait at a bar with no behind it. Disappointing as this used to be our go to spot every weekend! Have been to this venue a few times over the last few years but I have to say when I was there last Saturday unfortunately the service was non-existent. When we first walked in the lady to the front didn't check our booking and just sat us at the first table which was fine. We weren't given menus and when we were we were appalled to see only 4 dishes on the main selection and not one of them was a vegetarian option. Very poor selection. Despite not being that busy the all seemed run off their feet because the place is severely understaffed. When we eventually got our food after waiting over half an hour we weren't given any cutlery. The food however was quite nice so can't fault that. Any other I've been to Weavers I have had a lovely experience. This particular has really let them down. The service was shocking and I can't blame the because they just simply need more and this will not be happening. I would also like to mention that where the computer is at the front of the restaurant the wires are stretched over under the coffee machine and it is a massive health hazard to anyone standing in that area. Genuinely the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. It took at least 15 minutes for a waiter to take our orders, and then another 30 for our starters to come. The sat next to us arrived id say at least 20 minutes after us and got their starters at the same time. It then took another 35-40 minutes for our mains to come. It's funny because the sat next to us got their mains before us. The service was just terrible it took at least 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive too. The food was underwhelming too, I could have gone to the chipper next door and gotten a better burger for a third of the price. The place isn't the same since it was taken over, it's a real shame. The place wasn't even that busy, I don't know if it was just the or what, but it's like they wanted us to have a bad there. Among all these other issues, my girlfriend went to the bathroom and there was no tissues in most of the toilets. Weavers used to be the first place you'd think of when asked what the best places for food were in drogheda, now it would be the one place I'd tell to stay away from. The bar are great though, no complaints about them. An absolute shambles. Went here this evening for a very rare meal out with my partner. Service is beyond slow, we were almost an hour waiting on main courses before we decided to leave and we are very patient people. The tables were absolutely stinking. The floor was like a slip and slide atleast 5 nearly took a fall. The poor bar man might as well of been running the place alone. There was children running the length and breath of the place and the waitresses actually couldn’t have possibly been ruder if they tried. The manager however, when I complained was very apologetic and a very polite woman. I wouldn’t be going back. My daughter had her 18th birthday party last night and what an amazing we had this was all thanks to Louise and team who went above and beyond, highly recommend for a function We had our son baptize party at weavers this weekend at their private room and it was lovely!! Louise and Gabi made sure everything was up to the best standards and everyone had the best time!! Food was great for my daughter, brought food and drinks over very promptly. Was very scarce inside but, was a Sunday night.
