The itself is not in the best of condition, there aren't really any signs or information. Entry costs 2 BAM for adults, so it's worth it to enter. The from the castle are outstanding! Can see the entire city from all directions and all the nature that Jajce has. It's a hike up to the from the city center and can be reached in a couple ways. We came from the north side and it's fun because you can actually take the stairs up on the former wall. Definitely recommend for the views. We even brought our small dog in the fortress. Kuruluş ve İlk İnşa (14. yüzyıl) Kalenin inşası, 14. yüzyıl sonlarında Bosnalı büyük soylu Hrvoje Vukčić Hrvatinić tarafından başlatıldı. Jajce’yi, bölgenin en güçlü savunma noktalarından biri hâline getirmekti. İlk Yapılar: Ana surlar ve iç (akropol) inşa edildi. İlk dönem yapılar Gotik savunma mimarisi izlerini taşır. Stratejik Konumu: Vrbas ve Pliva nehirlerinin birleşme noktasındaki bir tepe üzerinde kuruldu. Bu konum hem doğrudan su kaynaklarına ulaşım sağlıyordu hem de doğal savunma avantajı sunuyordu. 2. Macar İşgali ve Jajce Banlığı (1463–1527) Osmanlılar kısa süre sonra Jajce’yi kaybetti. Macar Krallığı, Jajce'yi ve çevresini kontrol ederek burada "Jajce Banlığı" adında yarı bağımsız bir sınır beyliği oluşturdu. Kale güçlendirildi ve savunması artırıldı. Yeni kuleler ve dış surlar inşa edildi. Yaklaşık 60 yıl boyunca Osmanlılar ile Macarlar arasında sürekli el değiştirdi. 4. Osmanlı Dönemi (1527–1878) 1527 yılında Osmanlılar Jajce'yi kesin olarak fethetti. Kale, Osmanlılar için stratejik bir sınır garnizonu hâline geldi. Osmanlılar kaleyi tamir ettirdi, ancak yeni yapılar çok eklenmedi; mevcut savunma sistemleri kullanıldı. Şehir ve çevresi büyük ölçüde İslami mimariyle şekillendi (camiler, medreseler yapıldı). 5. Avusturya-Macaristan Dönemi (1878–1918) 1878 Berlin Kongresi sonrası Avusturya-Macaristan İmparatorluğu Bosna-Hersek'i işgal etti. Jajce Kalesi artık askerî önemini kaybetti. There are two locked rooms within those walls. Entry fee is cheap. Jajce dominates above the city offering from the top in all directions. We visited in early May when grass and vegetation was a vibrant green color, giving the a special feel. was 5KM per person, you also have some other vendors at the entrance. You can walk on walls and enjoy 360 views, but there isn’t much else apart from what you see in the videos. It’s nice nonetheless and I would recommend visiting it if you find yourself in Jajce. Bosnian Kingdom fortress, historical place. By visiting this place it is simply possible to read through the history of Bosnia during the last 700 years. Well preserved, cheap fee, beautiful view on the old and new town of Jajce and surrounding mountains. Simply a must see. The Jajce offers arguably the best panoramic of the entire town, including the Pliva waterfall and the surrounding hills. The climb is very manageable but does have a fair amount of steps. There was no wait to enter when I visited on a weekday. Take your time walking along the walls—the historical significance of this place is palpable. Ukratko, bacanje para prije par godina je bilo besplatno, a sad košta 5.50KM, za sta se plaća ne znam, ocito za udisanje zraka jer niti postoje ploče sa objašnjenjima otkad postoji,čemu je tvrđava služila itd,niti su je šta obnovili. Kako strani turisti tako i domaći ipak očekujuda saznaju nešto novo, a ne sa samo se slikaju i lutaju unutar zidina. Valjda plaćanje treba da ima neku svrhu za samu građevinu, no naravno kod nas to nikad nije slučaj. This is great. We visited in November , so quite off season. There was no tourist which was for pictures. The fee is two marks (about 1€). We had a time. There is better view around in Bosnia but Jajce is definitely a place to see if you are traveling around the country. It's small, but only 2 BAM (1€). I think the actual attraction is the from there.
