Very nice place, pizzas were very delicious and coffee was pretty good as well. The price is very good, really cheap. WC was clean, free parking next to the cafe and very nice staff all speak English. I can advice this place . Made a pit while traveling. They serve with cheese which I liked so much. Coffee and pastry are so good here. The view also is worth to see. The decoration of inside is also nice. Inam glad we stopped here. I can go again if I will ever be there again. We had a great experience enjoying Macedonian Mekitci at this estaurant today (December 25, 2024). A classic roadside you just can’t skip if you’re traveling between Ohrid and Skopje. Мекиците од Стража are famous for a reason: the mekici (a type of traditional fried dough popular in North Macedonia and across the Balkans, similar in taste to the Spanish porras/churros, served with cheese) are big, golden, and deliciously soft on the inside with a crispy edge. They taste best fresh and hot, especially with a bit of powdered sugar or cheese. Add a glass of yogurt and you’ve got a full traditional breakfast that feels like home. It’s a bit crowded sometimes and the can be fast-paced, but that’s part of the charm. This place runs like a machine. Don’t expect anything fancy, just a tasty, authentic snack and a quick break with a view of the mountains. I discovered the mekica a few days ago and I had it in the best place of Macedonia. The mekica is amazing, but the cheese that come with it is something special! One of the best sheep cheese I ever had! A must if you visit Macedonia. Mekica is only fried dough, but take my word, best one you'll ever try in your life. If you happen to be around, sacrifice couple hundred calories and just try it. Will not regret. I stopped by this place on my way from Skopje to Ohrid. The was quick and the atmosphere was very nice. We tried the mekitsa and and loved it – it was fresh and warm. I also had a pistachio doughnut which was tasty. Definitely worth a short if you’re passing by. The place was so cool. We ate piroshka and burek and everything was so delicious. Absolutely recommend it👍🏻 Good food. Zero service. After wiping the mess with a towel, the waitress continued to serve without washing her hands and the order went according to her whim. Disaster.
