Usually at weekend will be lots of person . High tides crushing the rocks. This place is scary but in the same time so peaceft. Nice place in Catania. Good for walking, biking, running, hiking, dog walking, etc. Great view of the sea. Lots of bars and restaurants (quite expensive comparing to the old city centre), areas for kids, etc. Not many restrooms, though. The place to be for sunsets and sunrises. Lungomare liberato was a fantastic experience for me and my kids (8 and 6 years). Several activities to do for them (wood painting, playground, bike,...) and also for us (adults). Even just walking around is very enjoyable. We also ate in a restaurant nearby and after lunch we were ready for the 2nd round 😉 We were looking for some place where we can sit and enjoy the sea but there is nothing just rocks, trash and rats It could be a lovely front walk place, but it has a lot of obstacles, a lot of trash... but really a lot. It is a pitty. Sunday it was full for lunch and it was hard to get a place to eat. A lot of cars and noisy. Lots of work has been done to make it new!!! Cycle lanes, new seating, trash cans, 2 massive new parks and works out/gym areas. Lots of bars and restaurants, and of course the sea view is spectacular 😜 A long walk......not a hike!
