Large salt water swimming pool, karaoke and excellent panoramic view. Feels very Sicilian Very big lido with a lot of amenities. Rocks make entrance to water not so comfortable. However, the artificial pool in front of the lido lets you go to the sea even with strong wind and high waves. Maybe it's because of the end of the season, but it wasn't good. Old fashioned and backward. When I asked to pay the entrance fee by card they didn't look very happy and told me I had to "wait for the manager". Similar story at the in-house bar, they didn't accept card payments but they said that the self-service restaurant did, even though it was closed the day I was there. I find this inconsistency really bad. Customers should be able to use cards at all facilities within the same establishment, not just some of them. When it started raining they invited customers to return all bathing-huts' keys...seemed like they were shutting down for the day because of the bad weather but management did not offer to refund money for entrance fee nor vouchers to return the following day. Obviously, they did not have to but would have been a nice gesture considering that some of us had paid a full day fee for less then a couple of hours. Very nice and cheap place. And the service was wonderfull Cosy beach with lots of activities. Feels like you came back to an ongoing celebration. Has different floors for different modes of relaxation. The only good thing about the place was the food (except that on the menu was offered prices and what we paid were higher justifying that we ordered the big plate of vegetables while surprisingly it was a self service buffet with one size plate for each type of food, kinda confusing !!), toilets are quite not clean, the nature of the area is sooo rocky, they created a part where they call it the pool while it's still the Rocky sea but they closed it "it's a personal view from someone who was looking for a normal pool in the Rocky area and got a lot of scratches" except than this all was ok, water was clear as beautiful Sicily, just the "I don't like receiving payment in credit cards look by the manager/owner was not welcoming". 25 min bus ride from Catania center. Pretty decent place, entrance 25 euros for 2, 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella. Lunch in express restaurant 25-30 euro for 3. Pretty ok. Yes the place is a bit older but I didn't mind. Nice change from sand beaches. My wife liked it so much that we went 3 more times. 😉 Very bad service and unpleasent waiters and employees. They had no patience and seemed to have no interest in welcoming us and other guests. Very bad experience. Never coming back!
