The only downside is that the lower part of the campsite, where the tents stay, is next to some type of dog shelter facility, with dogs barking loudly non-stop after 6.30h and until 22.30h, also occasionally during the night. The rest, great campsite. Well located pit stop going to or from Etna with friendly staff and well kept facilities. Considerable road noise and almost unbelievable cacophony of continuously barking dogs. Great experience. We stayed 2 nights with our camper. Very small camping. Owners super friendly and willing ti supporto. They also bring breakfast from the best pasticceria in Nicolosi. we moved to Nicolosi in the evening and rifugio sapienza to visit the amazing Etna using their shuttle service. Super nice. We spent just a single night, but it was absolutely perfect! The camp is modern, and great value for the money! Normally I would give 5 stars. But directly next to the camping there is a dog shelter or something similar. The dogs go completely crazy from 5am in the morning onwards. Sounds almost as if they are mistreated or something. Not possible to sleep in tent. Otherwise It’s very nice. But that’s bad. Edit: I would highly recommend to check if authorities if the dogs are beaten or mistreated. Because it 100% sounds like that. This is not normal. They are beaten or worse. Disgusting. A lovely small camping, ideal for visiting Etna and Catania ( museum about the invasion of Sicily 1943 and Benedictine cloister) Lots of flowers, area’s to sit together. Very clean. Excellent facilities. Supermarket at 500 m. Friendly staff. We stayed there for 2 nights. The reception lady is not nice, she keeps her cat (and her customers) on a leash. She doesn't say "CIAO". She lets us use the toilet only for 5 to 10 minutes MAX. - next to a loud road + close to Etna + clean Info: You get one free shower per day per person. Shower is 4 minutes of hot water MAX. You can charge your electric car. It costs 8 EUR per night. This is a near to Mount Etna. The welcome was very good and booking in straight forward. The site is exceptionally and well maintained. A lovely quiet with excellent, facilities and friendly, helpful owners. It was easy to arrange a visit to Etna, with the site offering a shuttle service to the cable car. Would love to return and definitely recommend. We have been to this before and continue to love its enduring charm. It is a relaxed site and the owners are always available to help, facilities are always up to standard. The setting is stunning with views of Mount Etna. The service and the owners are great! This has silence hours, which is great. Only problem is that the dog kennel from te neighbors is very loud, woke up every morning by them barking. Furthermore this feels secure and showers are clean! I would recommend for campers but not for tents.
