If you want to spend some hour in the nature, you ho there. Bring some snack, water and a good pair of trekking shoes and ho there for a walk. Excellent stop off for our trip with cruise Cormoran. Lovely with beautiful views Recommended for half day trips. There are 4 trails the longest is 3 hours and takes you to the highest point of the island. There are really many many lizards. Whenever you stop for a rest you'll have tens of them coming around and climbing in you. Nice with various walks. We only had one hour so only took the shortest path as not to miss the boat. Seen a few on the way, all pretty small ones. Only issue is toilets left a bit to be desired. Could maybe have a little shop too for water, gifts etc.. If you want to see one more beautiful place on Mallorca- it's Dragon island! The sea is so transparent, warm and blue! A lot of and nice natural park. Worth a visit! We didn't very far from the as it was scorching hot. We found a picnic area and ate some breakfast and watched the lizards. There are thousands of them, they're really tame and come over to see what you are doing. They're very cute and a joy to watch. The surrounding sea is crystal clear and had we more time we would have definitely gone snorkeling. It's a bigger than you'd think, and would take some commitment to cover. It is (mainly) unspoilt scenery though and I do recommend a visit if you are this side of the island. We visited the often and saw all lighthouses and ruines there. One can make an habit out of discovering the little islands of the Balearic Islands, they never disappoint. Cabrera and Dragonera are the junior partners in this faboulous succession of marvels of nature that are the Balearic Islands, but they are equally impressive. If only for the fact that you can be alone enjoying their nature and waters makes those little two Islands really captivating, invading you with a sense of longing and melancholy. I visited Dragonera this summer and it was the icing on the cake of our trip to Mallorca. We approached it by Kayak, first reaching its shores at Cala Cucó, and then going to Dragonera's vintage port, a small little harbour frozen in time, where you can swim and relax. Then the visitor has a few options for hiking around the island. We chose the most challenging one, which is the visit to the old lighthouse at the top of Dragonera. It's a 4 hours hike that takes you from 0 to almost 400 meters but allows you to literally fly over the sea, and enjoy a unique 360 view of the endless sea and the Serra de Tramuntana. It's a cliff that would tempt the more avid paragliders but wake up your vertigo if you don't like heights. Dragonera is a natural park, which was not and obvious destiny for the a couple of decades back. The tenacity of a few of brave Mallorcans succeeded in keeping it a natural reserve, for the benefit of everyone. Now it's guarded by a very nice guy who is very helpful and cracks out a nice conversation if you are in the mood. Check the opening times because hiking routes are closed after the guard leaves. Oh my goodness, was this an unbelievable experience. The uninhabited is breathtaking, and makes you feel like you have been transported to another time. To get to the island, you have to take a boat. I highly recommend Cruseros Margarita, which you can board from Sant Elm. The takes about 10-15 minutes. When you arrive on the island, keep your ticket handy, as they check it. I had put mine deep in my bag, which made it fun trying to fish it out. You are greeted when you come off the by a park ranger, who tells you a bit about the and the different walks you can take. I unfortunately did not think about this, and could only do two of the walks in order to make it back for the boat. There are also toilets here and a small room that gives you more information on the island. I recommend using the bathroom as it is the only one on the island. There are 4 hikes, 2 which are quite easy and 2 which are more moderate/ for more advanced walkers/hikers. The two I did were the easier ones, route 1 and 2. You don't meet many people on the either which makes it feel so serene, and almost like you are on this yourself. During the walk, there are little information signs that tell you unique parts about the and the area you are in/walk you are on. The views on 2 are beautiful and you can right up to the lighthouse, which gives incredible views of the sea. You can also rest here and eat some food, and watch all the lizards! The are very friendly I found, and would climb onto my hand and leg. When you make your way back to the starting point, there is a small area where you can swim or just relax while waiting for your boat, it is very relaxing.
