The food was incredible, the view and the whole atmosphere, we loved it so much and will return back for sure! It felt like being cooked by housewives, so much love and so local😍 The mixed plate and the chicken wings were sooooo goood! And Esmeralda and everyone was so welcoming. You could see chicken and a dog walking around, super friendly and great outdoor seating! Very in love with this place and will def come back 😍👌✨ Came here for lunch & with my wife and we had the most amazing time! The setting, service, food, & were all amazing! Also reasonably priced! 200 lek per glass for high quality from their vineyard! Best red I have tasted in all of Albania! Also the meatballs & rice dish was absolutely delectable!! The best place we stayed during our 2 weeks in Albania. We felt so welcome from the start. The hosts are lovely people and their home is an oasis with plenty different animals and great food. Try to come here if possible This is an excellent rural restaurant, tables set in vine covered alcoves overlooking the vineyard from which the owners produce their own wines. 20 minutes outside Gjirokaster. We had a bottle of the Debine white, a crisp with a hint of fruit and aromatics across the tongue. The food was outstanding and even our local driver said that it is some of the best traditional food he has eaten. We had the mixed platter, xaxiki, grilled chicken and grilled pork. Top notch, with very friendly English speaking staff(the owner). Strongly recommended for an excellent sampling of Albanian cuisine. Visited for lunch. Beautiful location, chicken and turkeys running around. Probably the slowest we received in whole Albania on this trip. It looked it was end of season and everyone was tired already of the service. Food was nice, house was quite simple, would be interested of how their bottles taste like. Was hoping there was a way to do a tasting but that was not an option. If you’re in the area, still recommend coming for a slow afternoon. Preferably when it’s warm. Absolutely such a beautiful place!! The owners are such lovely people, the is exceptional and the food is delicious. We stayed here two nights and didn’t even bother to go out the first night as the place was so beautiful. This is definitely the highlight of our trip in Albania full of nature, delicious grapes hanging off the vines, apples and fresh produce, we will definitely come back again! I highly recommend this place. We would rate the experience around 3.5/5. The traditional starters were interesting to try, though a bit on the heavier side as most dishes were quite oily. It also would have been nice to have a short explanation of what each dish was. For the main course we had the lamb, which was recommended as a traditional specialty. The meat was tender, falling off the bone, with a distinct touch of mint — overall enjoyable. The highlight for us, however, was definitely the tea, which was excellent. One more note: cash payment is clearly preferred here, though card payment is also possible. We absolutely loved everything about our stay – the food, the nature, the rooms, the warm service, and even the animals around the property. This was by far the best experience we had during our trip through Albania. If you’re looking for something truly unique and a peaceful place surrounded by nature to unwind, this is the perfect spot. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, and the food is simply outstanding. If you’re staying overnight, don’t miss out on having dinner here – it’s a must! We can’t wait to come back soon! ❤️ Visited for dinner and had a pleasant overall experience, though it didn’t quite live up to the glowing reviews we’d read beforehand. The setting is beautiful, overlooking the vineyards with mountain views, and the presence of chickens wandering around added a charming touch. The food is well-prepared, definitely tasty, but not necessarily better than other restaurants serving similar cuisine in the region. The staff are clearly hardworking and dedicated (this is a true family-run place) but they could benefit from having a few more hands on deck. By 7pm, felt rushed and impersonal. One thing to be mindful of is the tasting: it’s priced at 1700 lek per person for four half (!) glasses, which was very underwhelming in hindsight. A better option is simply ordering by the glass at 200 lek each: they do fill those to the top, and the quality of the is very good still. In summary, it’s a lovely place with lots of heart. Worth a visit for the views and the atmosphere, but pricing and could use fine-tuning. One of the highligts in our fortnight Albania trip was having lunch in this exceptional location! This family kept winery lays in a secluded region near Gjirokaster and is well worth the visit. The owners are really friendly and make you feel very welcome. The setting is simply amazing. You can have lunch or dinner underneath the grapevines with a stunning view of the mountains. The food is great. All in all a wonderful experience and highly recommended!
