Footbridge over River Trent in Newark-on-Trent and view from the bridge. Also some pictures from bridge near the castle and from Farndon It's a beautiful place, but sadly running a bit FULL at the moment. Love to go kayaking along the Trent. We've going along the same stretch can be a different journey each time with the ever changing scenery and calm waters, on the stretch I go along make it so peaceful. A great get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life Yesterday on the Trent was raining which didn't give me the chance to take lots of photos but I managed to get a few. Big old river got her on 2 good calm days thank god wunt fancy in bad weather boaring but weirdly beautifull A great river for anglers but very difficult. A lot of fish have a great atmosphere. Fresh air Beautiful colours The River Trent does not go anywhere near Chesterfield, this marker is at least 35Km out of place. Other than that, the River Trent is a nice enough river. Stoke Bardolf Sewage Treatment runs off in to it. Even though it is supposed to be clean before it hits the river, that certainly would make me think twice about going for a dip. And some of the tributaries that feed it especially those that go through/under Nottingham look disgusting. But still a nice, large, strong River that you can take some nice walks along. We love narrow boating and we thoroughly enjoyed the canal. Picturesque and most pleasant. The legendary Trent Lovely place for a walk or a run. I've been parking near the Brewhouse restaurant every day after work, either sitting in my car with music or sitting on a bench watching the world pass by. You see a lot of people jogging and cycling. And there seems to be over 40 geese just chilling! You can walk through them and they will hardly move, or stand there and take photos and they will just look at you. And if you get bored of one part of the river, you can walk 100 yards up the path and experience completely different scenery.
