Lovely place for a around the lake. Small cafe with outside seating to enjoy a bit of food and a coffee. Pleanty or place for a picnic too. Pushchair friendly. We regularly have a wander round manvers & visit the waterfront cafe to grab a drink & sit admiring the view. Toilets open on site until 4pm. The lakeside is varied in terrain but manageable for pushchairs. Wheelchairs can access the cafe site but would struggle round the lake. Plenty of open grass for running around and great route for bikes too. There are water sports options on the & membership available too. Shame about the cafe. Coffee and snacks too expensive. Lovely venue for watersports and walking/riding. Love this place. In dry weather its fully accessible to my mobility scooter. If its bern wet it gets too muddy in parts. Connects to the Trans Penine Trail. Also connects to the River Dearne and RSPB Old Moor Wetlands. A great many different pathways to explore. Excellent for dog walkers, Bike Riders etc. There is also a Watersports centre here and they serve drinks although I've never been inside that. My husband often walks our dog here and still finding different parts he's not discovered before even after 6 years of walking there. Well worth a visit. You can park in watersports centre car park. It's pay & Display. Also has disabled parking. It does get very busy though. Enjoyed a lovely with our little dog will go again and try another next time Just popped in with my car for a car photo shoot for ford, so didn't stay long enough to form an opinion, so not fair for me to give an opinion. From what I saw in the brief time I was there it looks a very, very place indeed. Lovely walks.. just a shame the cafe is operated by the council as it should be open much longer hours than it is and the food and selection of snacks could be 100 per cent better.. Even got basking tutrles in the It's OK, not a far and muddy. Probably won't go till summer due to mud. I just prefer solid ground in winter. But clean and not too bad 🌊 Manvers Waterfront Boat Club – Where Land Meets Adventure! 🚣‍♀️🐾 Whether you're chasing adrenaline or a peaceful stroll, Manvers Waterfront Boat Club is a gem in South Yorkshire that truly delivers. It’s a lakeside lifestyle. Love it, always enjoy the walk. Would be if they sorted paths on other side so can push wheelchair all way round,it's a long round. Plenty of benches but some without backs..but great place for a and see wildlife place. Volunteered for the Rotherham Hospice 10k run. Stopped by Manvers Waterfront Boat Club to watch the boats and enjoy the riverside. The area feels relaxed and well kept, and it was to see people out on the water. A good spot to take a walk, enjoy the view, and spend some quiet time by the river. It's a little walk, paths get a bit muddy could have done with wearing boots but overall quite First time I'd ever been. It's was a beautiful crisp day. Lots of people around. Plenty of dog walkers, water activities & wildlife. It took me 2.5hrs to from barnsley town centre along the pennine trail and it was beautiful. There appears to be a bar there, but I resisted 😉 it's definitely a place I would visit again I love this place. And at the beginning of the season it is clean. Very quiet, people behave decently. There are benches around, places to rest. I really want to address those who throw garbage and do not clean up the shit after their dogs. Because sometimes there is not even a place to lay a rug. All around this filth Lovely place with great people working there that will help you with whatever they can polite and freindly staff would highly recommend 5gis place to anyone loved the with my wife and kids and I'll definitely be back for more walks in the near future cheap prices for snacks and drinks not a bad word to say about it great place.
