Cabin itself looks great inside and not bad from outside too! The terrace is very nice and spacious! We have met the owner this July and he's a very nice man! The food here is amazing and you can choose from many choices. I was never sleeping here so I can't comment on this, but I highly recommend this place to everyone! Every nature lover should visit! I also loved the fact, that you can see lama, emu ostriches, goats and all kinds of birds the owner has brought here to make this place even more interesting! We had a birthday party and both food and the service were amazing. There's also lovely view nearby if you hike up the hill. A few kilometers ride from Trencin, into the woods surrounding eye-pleasing green mountain Ostry, one would expect to find a cottage with tasty traditional cuisine. And one would not be disappointed. I liked this place, everything was perfect. Starting with nice waitress, one of the best garlic soups I've tried and damn tasty potato dumplings called "halusky" covered by local sheep cheese "bryndza" and pieces of fried bacon. All beautifully served in vintage or traditional dishes. Wooden cottage, good company, forest behind windows... harmony for all senses. And one more beautiful day carved in my memory. We visited chata pod Ostrÿm vrchom with my dad,his wife and my brother and other members of our family. We stopped just for short visit,ordered only chicken soup which was fantastic, some tea,coffee, kofola ( coke like drink) Our server, I guess his name was Lukáš was very friendly and pleasant guy. He recommended some of their specialities which we would gladly try,but we had already other plans made for lunch somewhere else on that day. Atmosphere, ambience, surroundings and everything about this place is fantastic. We would gladly return there some day and spent few days using their accommodation and try some of their specialities they offer in their restaurant. Good job,well done !! We had family gathering in this mountain chalet. Owner of this place is one of the worst manager how to run the hospitality business. He was rude and arrogant to us and he was watching every step as a hawk creating unpleasant situation. Food was average nothing special, portions were small. Can you imagine in the morning during checkout he send to our room his staff to inspect. This was the pinnacle of insult I never experienced anything like that in my life.
