If you are ever near this part of Holland, you need to stop in and enjoy your favorite pannekoeken. The menu is extensive with a huge variety of flavors. Don’t forget to ask about their daily specials. Top it off with your favorite beverage including cold beer, and you will leave satisfied. The staff were very friendly and ensured that our order was accurate. Delicious! I had the Indonesian Saté pannenkoek and it was so yummy! Friendly service, a lot of options on the menu, nice seating outdoors... Happy to recommend this place. Nice house of pannenkoeken :) They have a crazy large variety of pannekoeken. Everything that we tried was delicious. A nice place to go to with little ones with an outdoors play area. Good and tasteful pancakes It is always a party to eat at the De Pannenkoekenbakker in Heerle, near Bergen op Zoom. I have been coming here for years and their menu carries hundreds of pancakes. It is really impossible to try them all. I recommend taking a look at their specialty pancakes. You will be amazed, and the taste is excellent. It is truly a family restaurant where you can come with your young children, but also as an adult-only party who wants to enjoy pancakes. For Dinner in the weekends, expect a crowded house, maybe a bit too crowded, and the 2nd floor lacks the atmosphere that the ground floor has. Also the Service is no longer as good as it used to be in the past. I have seen better here, but maybe the current team still needs to grow in experience. Nevertheless, I strongly recommend this restaurant for the reasons described. I love this restaurant! Very unique menu choices, at least for an American. We had apple crumble/bacon-onion-mushroom, cheese and onion and bacon. Everything delicious with friendly, competent staff. I highly recommend!!!! As someone who grew up in Wouw, my standards for are sky-high. But the Pannekoekenbakker in Heerle didn’t just meet them—it sent them soaring past the Sint-Maartenskerk tower! First off, walking into the Pannekoekenbakker feels like stepping into a magical pancake wonderland. The smell alone made me question if I’d accidentally wandered into heaven (spoiler: I hadn’t, but it’s close). Their menu is longer than the annual village gossip list, and each pancake is a masterpiece of culinary art. I ordered the “pannekoek met appel en gember”and every bite tasted like a celebration. But the true highlight? Sinterklaas himself made an appearance! There he was, the man, the myth, the legend—complete with staff, helpers, and a sack full of surprises. Now, I’ve seen Sinterklaas a fair few times growing up, but never this close to a plate of syrup-dripping pancakes. The sight of him devouring his own stack of “speculaas-sinterklaaspannenkoeken” brought tears to my eyes. (Or maybe that was just the powdered sugar. Who’s to say?) The staff deserves a shoutout too. They worked with the efficiency of a well-organized Wouw carnival committee and made sure everyone had their syrup and sprinkles in record time. And let’s not forget the décor—it’s as gezellig as your grandma’s living room but with fewer knick-knacks and way more pancake energy. Whether you’re from Wouw, Heerle, or some faraway land like Roosendaal or Bergen op Zoom, treat yourself to this slice of pancake paradise. And if you’re lucky, Sinterklaas might just pop by to share a stroop-covered high-five. Five golden pepernoten out of five! It's such a beautiful place, children friendly, crew is very fast and friendly. I was there one time with friends then with recommend this great place for friends and I know that i will come back there. Pannekoeken are splendid and huge but price is not high.
