What we had for lunch at Cafe Klein changed significantly from the usual eating places with basic / boring yet expensive burgers. The burgers they serve have something special to them: they re huge, juicy, tasty, with delicious salad added to them. The aioli (garlicky mayonnaise) is home- made and simply to die for. The potatoes taste very good. What s more, the staff is friendly and helpful and the owner, who waited on our table, was really kind and professional. You have to go there if you visit Kolding!! The ratio of the sides with the pariserbøf was far too much in comparison to the actual beef, and the beef itself was a fair bit dry. The potatoes came with an Aioli and a salsa. The potatoes were badly salted, very bland. The Aioli was nice, but the salsa lacked flavour. It looks cute and we got free peanuts with our drinks, which was a plus. However, when we asked for a vegetarian option, it was advized to get the burger.... Without the burger. So basically a plain bun. Thanks but no thanks. The service is amazing and so is the food! The waitress handed us the German menus because she listened to us talking, which gave us a laugh. The self baked pie is delicious and served very aesthetically! In general, we had a really warm feeling and felt very welcome here. 5 stars are not enough to say how nice this is! I stopped here for a coffee with my family. The Café has a nice and cozy atmosphere and we received great care and attention from the staff, who also guided us through their interesting selection of teas. Not inclusive The waiter hasn’t been polite nor welcoming. I have been there for a coffee and cake and it took a lot to get the order, or to come back and get more drinks. The waiter took all orders for people that came later , and never cleaned out table. It didn’t feel welcoming for foreigners. The coffee and cake were great, the experience no that’s why the 1 star. We tried the creamy pasta and enchilada, and wow… they did not disappoint. The pasta was rich and comforting, with a amount of creaminess.
