Our next course and another main target were Saaremaa Golf&Country club, This course attract me with its location and also with pictures on their website. We arrived after short stop at the beach to enjoy this beautiful island. Location of this course is very convenient, close to the main road, but far enough to be influenced by traffic, also close to city Kuressaare. As always, we arrived night before and spend it with agreement of the course at parking lot with our RV. In the morning we check in with manager in the beautiful and modern clubhouse, which includes restaurant, and well supplied proshop. Clubhouse fit the highest needs of every golfer, there are dressing rooms with sauna, which is standard in Nordic states. All on highest level and very clean. After checking in we went straight to first tee, despite the driving range next to clubhouse. For all those who like practice feel free to do it, but I never do. That might be the reason I play always horrible first three holes. Anyway, as the standard was already set up and we seen it in all Estonian courses, here it does not change. Big enough tee boxes well maintained, and route well marked. This course is flat and easy to walk so no need for buggy, you can even carry bag on back. I would describe this course as parkland course, with enough water hazard. Fairways are lined with trees or lakes, with enough space to hit ball on it, course was bit dry for this time of the year especially fairways. However, greens were in perfect shape, as well as tee boxes. Look like it was focus of greenkeeper to sensibly work with water supply. We enjoy the whole course very much, but back nine was preferable for me, because there were more interesting shots for me. I liked that both 9 and 18th greens are in front of clubhouse, and I would for sure highlight last hole as signature hole, of whole course. Anyway, I also like scorable par 3. As already mentioned, course is surrounded with lot of water, so you can also observe many birds and you can see that course is in line with island nature and fits very well. We enjoy very much the whole course and club hospitality and can only recommend to everyone to visit. Best golf course in Saaremaa :) Great golf course and a clubhouse with good practice facilities. Kenttä on hyvässä kunnossa ja greenit tasalaatuisia. Hieno klubirakennus ja ystävällinen, palvelualtis henkilökunta. Tänne kannattaa lähteä, vaikka varta vasten, pelaamaan. And very friendly staff. Very nice👍 Unfriendly staff both at golf course and especially in the resraurant. You, as visitor, are only burden. Food is lousy, tasteless and overpriced.
