Biser is one of the oldest shops, and maybe the first of this kind in Strumica. It is the best place to eat a very known pastry, "Burek" and drink "Boza". Also, they are very well established for offering and tasty large variety of sweets and ice cream. Nice, large, and very clean space with some small cosy corners. Quick and very professional and polite staff. Highly recommended to everyone. So, I visited Biser Bakery in Strumica, Macedonia, and I gotta say, I wasn't impressed. The first thing that caught my attention was the lack of safety measures – no exit sign, no fire detection system, and no water sprinkler systems. I mean, that's pretty concerning, right? And to make matters worse, there were three fridges blocking the hydrant near the potential escape routes in case of a fire – not cool! To top it off, I noticed they had a CCVT, but it seemed like it was more for catching people stealing money from the cash register than for customer safety. And speaking of cameras, it felt like I was being watched everywhere, which made me uncomfortable. When it came to service, it was a mess. Zero client understanding and no organization for orders. I had to wait for ages without any logical reasons, and the waiting line was awkwardly positioned. It's like they didn't care about the customers at all. As for the prices, yeah, they were okay for some, but I heard they've raised them multiple times over the past few years, making it less affordable for others. I decided to try their meat burek, and boy, was I disappointed. There was barely any meat in it – such a letdown. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going to Biser Bakery. Instead, if you want some really handmade Bureks, head over to Deni Number 1 on "stara Carsija." I've heard they have the best ones in the city, and you won't be disappointed! The food is great, prices have increased a bit however, due to inflation. However I would still recommend this place if you are looking for cheap food, there are plenty of options. The is good, the staff are nice, and the place is clean. Not too much to complain about. It can get crowded sometimes however. Very delicious always fresh traditional baked goods.
