This is a must try whenever visiting Bari. Compared to many competitors, this shop stands out notably. I loved the texture and well balanced ingredients, so that it gets tough to make a selection on which one to prioritize:) Enjoy and my thanks to the hard working team, and owner, for bringing such a great experience. Well done. They were not “gentile” but the flavour of the makes you forget about it. I recommend the crema Antica. They wont let you sit not even to have the ice in minutes, its the store policy I suppose. For me its the first time in a gelateria I hear something like that. Its also a price. Antica Gelateria Gentile is undeniably a hotspot in Bari. You can't miss the constant stream of spilling out onto the street, a testament to its reputation as the place for gelato. During our visit, we eagerly joined the throng, ready to sample their much-lauded offerings. We dove straight into their famous Prequeche, a treat that many seem to rave about. However, for us, it unfortunately didn't live up to the hype. While we appreciate a signature item, it only garnered a maximum of a 2 out of 5 in our books. Perhaps it's an acquired taste, or maybe it just wasn't our preference, but it certainly didn't wow us. On the other hand, the ice itself was a solid 4 out of 5. It was – creamy, flavorful, and refreshing on a warm Bari day. However, and this is key, it wasn't anything particularly special. It was a perfectly acceptable gelato, the kind you can find at many decent gelaterias, but it lacked that unique edge or standout flavor that would make it truly memorable. The atmosphere was certainly lively, almost chaotic due to the sheer number of people. While this buzz contributes to the overall experience of being in a popular spot, it also meant a bit of a wait and a less relaxed atmosphere. Great gelateria, must try! We only tried but everything else they had looked extremely too! Waited in the and then for our turn around 15’ in total but it was it. Took percoca, ricotta e fichi, mandorle – absolutely fantastic flavors. We recently visited this café and were delighted by their super nice ice cream, especially served in brioche. Although there can sometimes be a long line, the wait is absolutely it. This is some of the tastiest ice I've ever had. I highly recommend trying the lemon sorbet and pistachio flavors. I was there everyday during my stay in bari, is okay, but not great in taste. But today lady who was outside said to me in very rude way that I can't sit outside with which I have bought inside 😂 She didn't even ask me if I would be interested in coffee or she could just say outside costs 2eur. She said it while it's heavy raining and only one table out of 10 was busy also with polish tourists. Right next to me 8 from Poland wanted to sit for cafe and and she couldn't say anything nice to them also. It is so absurdly funny, I just sat there and patiently waited for waitress to take my order and she only came with stupid smile talking sth in Italian under her nose :) 90% of tourists now are from Poland, be respectful for us and other tourists, cause you have just lost a client and dozen others 😉 definitely waiting, the best ny roll I ve ever eaten. There is a space you can sit and enjoy pancakes, coffee, pastry or just to go. There is table service too, You don’t have to queue. Fortunately this was the best I’ve ever tasted! Unfortunately this was the best I’ve ever tasted… I still dream of this place! Excellent selection of flavors that changes daily. Not the best experience when seated as service is a bit hectic but it’s great for takeaway. The ordering system is a bit confusing at start mainly because of the massive in the evenings. Come in the afternoon for a more relaxed experience. The fruit sorbets are incredibly silky, almost mind blowing how they can achieve that texture without milky elements. 1000% recommended visit when in Bari Absolutely scrumptious! As someone who has a sweet tooth, this went down a real treat. This was the ‘bombette’ My friend kindly let me some of their ‘peanut butter’ ice and I can confirm that was divine 😌 Truly recommend if you want to try some food quality desserts in Bari! Really but it’s a shame that they have place to sit just for the costumers with big order like coffee and from the menu . Also toilet is inside . Have also granita and many varieties of and som Cakes . Thank you for your service . ❤️ Italian ice at its best. This is probably the best in Bari, whether in cup, cone or brioche! In my opinion, Antica Gelateria Gentile is overrated. The wasn’t as as expected, especially considering all the hype. The price felt too high for the quality and portion size. There are definitely better options in the area that offer more. We had the dark chocolate and almond milk. It was so delicious! Rich in flavor. It was near my hotel and was recommended by many IG post so we drop by this place both for coffee in the morning and night for gelato. What to say? The quality speaks for itself! Nocciola and pistachio flavour, couldn’t be disappointed, just and fresh! The is big and the wait! Staff is friendly and easy :) The are incredibly delicious! There are so many flavors that it’s hard to choose. The service is very fast and friendly, even when the line is long. I visited this place based on a friend’s recommendation, and it definitely lived up to the hype! There were quite a few working inside all very quick, efficient, and great at handling customers. They have a wide variety of options, all of which look amazing. I tried the gelato, and it was absolutely enough to make me believe that their other sweets must be just as good! Totally the hype! The place is very well organized — you order your ice at the counter, get a ticket with a number, and wait for it to appear on the screen. Then you choose your flavors. The ice is absolutely amazing — the best I’ve had in Italy! It’s creamy, rich, and every flavor tastes authentic, not artificial. Highly recommend, 10/10! Even though it’s busy, I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes in line. Gelateria Gentile is pure magic! 🍨 The pistachio and crema antica were heavenly...soft, creamy, bursting with authentic flavor. Even the pastries shine! The speaks volumes: excellence every minute. Best in Italy! 🇮🇹✨ The was pretty good, the pastry and other desserts were quite nice too. What I did not get the hype - we queued for 20+ minutes, and this is out if season, a better management is required. The best place for we have ever been to! The flavours were so and the staff was really friendly!☺️ This worths the visit of Bari! Very and the portion is the money. There were so many varieties of flavours so you can’t decide which one to try. I tried the Antica flavour and was priceless is you like cinnamon! 😋 Great of ice cream, didn’t have space to try other products but I’m sure they’re as well.. I can't believe how this place is. I mean I have tried many places even in Italy but this is by far one of the best that I think would be my top best ones I have ever had. Located in Bari, Italy this store is small and when I was here there was already all seated outside and as well in the store. Overall the of my pistachio was just spectacular! I also had hazelnut which was also amazing! We were recommended by a local to try this place and it did not disappoint. Whilst there was a relative small selection of flavours, all of them were so silky smooth and tasty!! We even went back for another scoop the following day! The ice was absolutely amazing. I got the dark chocolate flavour and the was so instance. The pastries were good, but not something mesmerising. The staff was nice, but have in mind if u choose to sit u can’t order in a cone, they only serve in glass cups if ur not “to go”.
