One of the few fully preserved castles in this area and generally in Croatia. Its interesting dates back to medieval era. Today it belongs to The Karlovac City Museum, hence it is home to a rich museum and a fine restaurant in the atrium. A good reason to exit the motorway and stop in Karlovac! The itself is well-preserved and offers some nice views of Karlovac and the surrounding area from its tower. It's a pleasant place for a walk and a bit of a lesson, especially with the reconstructed wooden staircase and the medieval setting. There are two exhibitions currently on display: one is a permanent exhibit on the of the and the noble families who owned it, which I found quite interesting. The second is an exhibition about the of Croatian music, which was a nice surprise. However, the experience felt a bit lackluster overall for the price of the ticket. The exhibits, while informative, could be more engaging and interactive. The space feels a bit empty in parts, and I believe more could be done to bring the to life. It's a nice place to visit if you're already in Karlovac, but it might not be worth a special trip. It's a solid, but not spectacular. The Is situated just outside Karlovac. The place is quiet and nice. There's also a Bistro inside. The skyline over the city is exciting. Lijep stari Small but notable castle. When we visited, the tower was closed for renovation so we did not get a good view. Many of the rooms have random exhibits from the town, not related to history. If you are nearby, it is worth a visit, but don't drive all day for this spot alone. Great views and quiet area It is a small, simple that takes little entrance fee and you get little back for it even at first glance. But after climbing to the top of the tower, enjoying the view and seeing the rooms inside, you can say with satisfaction: it was worth a little visit. With us it was on a transit.
