I have heard of this place before, and wanted to visit for a very long time. While I was waiting that moment to arrive my expectations just go up and up. And our visit make alive in April 2017. When we arrived we saw 2 lambs are grilling, but when we asked if we order that piece of meal we were refused and explained that was order from some guests. Ok, no problem, It was their meat, not owned by restaurant. But have to ask why this restaurant don't grill their own lamb!? We asked for a menu, and ordered "Kraljevska plata" or "Kings dish" which consisted of deer meat, wild hog meat, hamburger meat, and some veggies with potato crockets. Meat was ok, nothing special, eatable I would say. So where is the problem? Well problem lies in overcocked veggies (broccoli) which was non eatable, it was mushy, grey green coloured. Not crispy fresh green. I said in start, my expectations were high, but to pay 170HRK (25$) was just too much for this dish. I know local hunters have too much of this kind of meat, so don't know what was the reason for hefty price keeping in mind the food was not "wooow delicious!" So, to conclude if you have a lamb or pork to grill you know where to come. I think, if I don't bring my own lamb, I will skip in future this place. Plus is wonderful location in amazing nature, with terrace over creek. A great place in a great natural setting. Everything is at a very high level, made of natural materials (wood and stone). The food is delicious and you can eat meals made from wild animals from the area. The waiters are very professional and friendly. The toilet is good and clean. I really recommend this restaurant to take a break and eat delicious food. Great place for food and relaxing. Vicinity of numerous hiking trails and historical sites. A wonderful place for a day out. Make sure to take a walk around. Everything from the menu highly recommended. A great selection of craft beer. And dessert... Out of this world. Plus, your dog is welcome outside.
