Beautiful ancient (Wasserschloss) with a moat and a drawbridge, and a colorful Westfalian history. museum inside which has info on all the local castles and learning rooms, old weapons and coins and furniture. Really well preserved castle. A example of the local type. Also very accessible for wheelchairs, they installed a lot of access devices. Bakery attached, a small cafe, and an art exhibit in the outer courtyard. Tales of butchery and homicide. It seems nothing much has changed except the weapons used are far worse today than the pikes and rifles of yesteryear. Sobering perhaps to know that taxation was as onerous then as now. Does poverty instil depression? Perhaps the may shed some light on this through it's displays and exhibitions. Excellent of glass. Warm and friendly staff. Worthy of an extra star. English spoken on reception. Avoid parking under the beech trees in September as their seeds get everywhere. cafe and mini bakery. Lovely scenery and a top place to walk or cycle. There is ample parking. A true moated with a fascinating history. Don’t miss the bakery, bring 5€ for a loaf of fresh bread. Inside the is a well done of the over three levels. The basement is for kids - and there is a projected map that is a must to see. The second level has the of the with some interesting stories one including a iron collar that was fixed to the owner. They do a job telling the story. Make sure to check out the bed as well. Everything is in German and English and very well done. A true moated with a fascinating history. Everything is in German and English and very well done. This self-guided tour was fun and unique. The displays are educational, and there is a lot to explore. The itself is very picturesque. I found the of the fascinating. Their is also a baker on site with fresh samples. You can also buy handmade loaves there. The beet apple is unique and surprisingly delicious. We bought that and some honey wheat bread. All in all it was a wonderful day and the weather was beautiful. I highly recommend visiting this if you get the chance. Impressive castle, with a fascinating story described in both German and English. Many activities for children both inside and near the castle. A place for a weekend getaway. A nice small with exposition. You can have a walk around and enjoy coffee in the premises Very nice place open with nice to also in english to read. The ticket costs 7,5 euros. And outside there is a small backer. In the morning there is a buffet with 18 euros costs but i think it is until 11:00. We ate 3 cakes and three coffees and we paid 19 euros. Also in the water there are some damn huge fish!!!!!! location for photography lovers. Go early in the morning - you will get a decent light, nice reflecions and place will not be crowded. A recently restored Wasserschloss in Lüdinghausen. Dating from the 13-1400s the restored building houses a well-done historical museum that documents the role of the building and it's owners (and their enemies) through the centuries. Exhibits are labeled in both English and German. The museum is informative but could have better directions for transiting through the exhibits. An added bonus: the Cafe on the grounds serves excellent cakes and the bakery also on the grounds sells a variety of good breads Vischering is magnificent and I truly loved my visit. It is a 100% worth a long drive. So be sure to arrive in time to gain entry to the museum, as they've a lot of cool things on and good explanation in English about the castle's history, giving context to the impressive place. Remember to enjoy a stroll around the afterwards to take it in from all angles. We also stopped by the cafe and enjoyed an iced coffee on a hot day. It was made from black coffee and softice, an approach we aren't familiar with, but nonetheless enjoyed very much! The gift shop left something to be desired. Such a and historical place to visit. It is open to visit even on sunday and has nature. At the same time there is cafe and bakery near the to hang out. a beautiful route along the river, an original cafe in a in a former stable. There is an excellent children's playground near the Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
