It’s a very peaceful calm place where you can find lots of interesting. For example there is some wine degustation as the abbey is well known for its wine production. Also it’s an ancient set of buildings with the rich history from an abbey to a winery. It still works as it started in the 18th century as a winery. We went there in February. There were some construction works and a part of its beauty was covered. The barrels are a miracle of the visit. A beautiful, restored Abbey & vineyard well worth a , there is wine tasting included, The quality of the abbey suffered a bit over the quality of the restaurant. Wonderful abbey with exposition of fotographs of abandonded pianos. Restaurant maybe had its unlucky day. We waited forever for our main dish, when it arrived it was cold. Personally I think price/quality is a bit out of whack here. We much preferred Abbaie Fontfroide restaurant service and quality. Beautiful Abbey situated in the bottom of the valley. At time of visiting (mid-june) lavender was in full bloom. Even through it is not high season there were a lot of visitors and parking is not easy. Beautiful Abbey - helpful staff. Architecture is beautifully preserved. They gave us a guide in English which was very helpful. Sadly the restaurant was closed due to a technical problem, but the staff were very apologetic. We were fortunate to the Abbey in May and then shoot a wedding in August, the place is amazing. Highly recommend the visit! Nice place to visit, (€10,50 adult) after the tour you can have a taste of their wines and buy a bottle or two if you wish.
