This is a nice little restaurant offering traditional Finnish cuisine and beverages. I had own main course (the herring with porridge) only and that itself was quite filling. The food quality was good. Service was fast & efficient. All in all, this is a good place to stop by for lunch if you’re in the Lahemma National Park. Salty beans, crispy pig ears , black bread and breaded crispy sprat (Small fishes). Nice quiet place to visit and have traditional food. Cute local restaurant immersed in the nature at the limit of the forest. Simple, home made local food- salads, soups, local fish, home made dessert. The service is really friendly, spontaneous and simply very kind. Enjoy the sunset sitting outside, the weather allowing. Or inside in a very simple but very tidy interior. I recommend strongly. Was worth the extra drive . Apart from coming to see the fisherman houses this restaurant was a great dinner treat. Has a good choice of Estonian dishes and also some children options . You can eat inside the tavern or opt for the terraces which is lovely with green views and kids can play on the giant swing. Nice food and nice location. The food is traditional. O got pig ears. Herrings are also nice. Delicious food in an unforgettable atmosphere. Food was very tasty, with the local spirit, portions were big enough to feel absolutely amazing. Very nice food, and the atmosphere was superb. We have never tried sprats in a salad before, but it was surprisingly good! And then combine it with the 3 km walk down the beach with the small fishermen’s huts, it was very idyllic.
