Brand new McDonald's. Has a Deli/Mini Store and gas station attached. Lots of parking with a kids area next to McDonald's and another one a little away up the hill. "Everything" sold out today except a couple of standard burgers, even coffee! Toilets are messy and broken. This Mcdonalds is the best one i’ve visited yet. The food came fast, and was delicious. There was a play place for children which was also amazing. Great place to park overnight coming from the ferry. Toilets are open to the public through the night. Early morning coffee available from the macdonalds and the deli! Great to stop on the way. Clean bathroom and you can charge your car in the meantime. I know McDonald's in Norway ain't like the one we get in the states (which is gourmet compared). I've had meals resembling the ones in the states at a few locations such in Oslo, however the one in Mandal has a few things lacking. Especially on sundays, it's crowded and the staff is severly disorganized. The last two times I've been, the food is cold and both of the times has been to the simple fact that whoever is in charge of adding "finished order" numbers to the screen, don't do this unless the food has been standing next to other disqusting customers for at least 5 minutes at the counter. The paper towel dispensers are always empty. The only way they can rectify this is to have more staff on known busy days like sundays and have a grown-up (instead of the regular teens) managing them. They did get one thing right and that's the apple pies. Probably the slowest McDonald's on planet earth. Stay away unless you have a lot of time to waste. I left before I got any food, waited for 15 minutes and still there was loads of orders before me that had not been served.
