Very nice park, with original sculpture of Giant. Relaxing, before jumping into crowdy Florence Nice place, very green and calm Beautiful to chill and relax. Except for that beautiful giant statue there is not much at this as most of the statues were moved to the boboli gardens. The is free! So that is a huge plus and next to a cute restaurant that has a great view of Tuscany hills. We loved the park, it was calm, wide, beautiful, non-crowded and FREE! It's a little bit on the exterior of Florence but the public bus transport has a circuit that can drive to a 5 min walk from the entrance. It is many acres forested, with game. The art and buildings from ancient times is interesting but I found the grounds soothing and the open fresh air exercise wonderful. Make sure you take €25 bus. The other buses get you there but Zi missed the stop yesterday and could not make it back tell today due to an unhelpful bus driver on 302A. Much easier and convenient with the 25. You have to visit with a guide. We had Laura, a doctor, teacher and archeologist. Fascinating water engineering. Nice park. Map provided. Pleasant walk on a sunny day but bring boots or mud proof shoes as some of the trails may be soft from rain. Donations are optional but welcome Great in the green with statues and caves. Great place lovely country and estate. Definitely worth a look if you are near Florence. A paradise just out of the city. It's a green place with a lot of history, inside you can see the most magnificent statue in the world, the Gianbologna's Giant, the incredible Cupido cave, and the Villa Demidoff building. Absolutely perfect for a bike ride, just a few minutes far from Florence city centre. Check out florencebiketours.it website to discover how easy is to book an all inclusive guided bike tour in the or in the Florence city. Its been on my Bucket List to see the Appenine Colossus for some time, but I had no idea what a beautiful hidden gem Pratolino really is. Easy bus trip 20 mins from central Florence, and with hardly any other visitors there when we went, it was welcome peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of central Florence. I would highly recommend spending a day here if you are considering it. free entrance, it is very nice to walk around with trees giving shades! you can do picnic, just bring foods and enjoy it with friends..there are alot of bending machine where you can buy water and coffee and some chips!
