The itself contains a lot of stones. Visited Medulin in july 2020. It is a sand but there are still a few rocks in the water in the beginning. The water is not deep at all, so not suitable for a long swim. Also very popular with families and children for this reason. The gets very busy, so it's best to be there early to get a god spot. The is extremely overcrowded during the main season. You can barely move there. It's a pity, because some 10 years ago it wasn't so. However, the was clean and maintained - it is most likely not a natural sand beach, because during ebb tide you can see (and feel) the rocks. Lovely with many options. I would definitely recommend to rent a boat and have some fun in the open sea, and explore the many islands. This was the most dirtiest we ever visited. Rubbish everywhere all over the sand. Cigarettes butts everywhere , was painful to watch kids taking them out from sand while playing.
