With its wide stretch of golden sand and charming Belle Époque architecture lining the promenade, it offers a picturesque setting for relaxation. Families enjoy safe swimming and beachside activities, while nature lovers appreciate the dunes and coastal walks. Its tranquil ambiance and historic charm make it a delightful destination on the Belgian coast. We visited for the first time in September so not sure how crowded it can get in warmer months. We loved it. It's clean, calm, spacious, close to restaurants if needed, there are showers, and if you want to rent a 'chaise longue' you can. Of course if you want to get your own things, chairs, food, umbrella, etc., you can as it's a public beach. Dogs and kids play around. Super place! super, excellent, gorgeous, kids were very happy, many people but the is giant, weather and sea were better afternoon, can buy meal in a small shop, can buy coffee and snacks right on the beach, cons: a bit problem with parking, shop is expensive = probably a common reality De Haan is very clean and family friendly beach. The is not very crowded and there is ample space for everyone. There washroom and toilets nearby on the beach. Lifeguards are also available for emergency situations. There are multiple restaurants nearby where you can enjoy a delicious meal after having an eventful day at the beach. There are paid parking spaces for your vehicles and if you are using public transport then DeHaan aan Zee tram station is the nearest to the beach. Lovely beach, calm and not crowded. If you go in the morning, there is less people and you can enjoy listening to the sound of the waves. If you have money and very good dress up you are welcome here. If you from the other part of the world you may experience an aliens looks from others locals!! They will measure you from top to bottom (never mind locals) 😊😇!! It’s a nice place for visit because of it’s cleaner environment and beauty. Lovely and quiet compare to Ostend, there are many places where kids can go to water and play. Nearby shops are also there for foods. Beautiful in a beautiful location. The is really clean and there is plenty of parking along the coastal road. The sand dunes and grass are a lovely backdrop to this powder white beach. We visited on several days the sea channel from calm to big waves with kite surfers making the most of the wind and crashing waves. Further towards De Haan there is a small park on the with a pirate ship, great for children. We visited in winter but there’s an ice cream shop just off the but due to the time of year was closed. Lovely little town with a beautiful beach. The best in the Belgium coast, calm, nice environment. Clean. Fantastic ice cream shops. The town has small buildings, and many old ones well preserved in comparison with the gigantic towers of towns nearby. Beautiful beach. Lifeguard. Restaurant. Ice cream n waffle stalls. Bar and chairs. Peace and quiet town. Great for families, elderly and people looking for a calm holiday Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
