September 2024 5* Visited the side and enjoyed the day. The is very clean and sand is very good. You can enjoy the water activities and have fun on side. There are many restaurants along the side. De Haan is city and Einstein stayed in this city for 6 months. The place has rich history with long tram line. Had a great time on this family friendly beach! Rented a bed and a parasol for two straight days at that location with orange parasols. Price was fair: about 8,00€ for a parasol and 5,00€ for a bed. No time limit. Really helpful fellas helped my family settle on those two heatwave days. Amazing beach, the sand goes on for miles and the sea goes out really far so good for small children to be in the sea and it not be deep. Lifeguards are on constant patrol and lots of little bars for drinks and nibbles. Great day out. front with restaurants, stores, new age crystals, inscents, the houses are so beautiful, parking was a bit of a challenge but not too difficult to find, there were nice hotels but no we did not stay in any hotel because we were there only for the day. The is beautiful! The water was very refreshing. Flying out kyte was easy with the perfect amount of wind. Nice place, but the water was not very clean, and it was too full. Probably the most beautifull of Belgium. Having a walk in the dunes or on the is very nice and pleasing. The surroundings is full of old and authentic houses. The are is very clean and well maintained. This region is probably my most favorite on the Belgian coast. Very beach! I come from the Philippines which is an island in Asia region that has a lot of beaches as well, but for some reason, I really appreciated the beauty of Strand De Haan much more than our beaches back home. This is very nice, even if you are just there to walk by the promenade and look at the to pass the time. Walk with your family. Or bring your kids near the shore. There is a "fake" ship near it where kids can play. It is a kid-friendly place. Sometimes you can see people riding there horses near the shore too. It is simply during sunset as well because the sky has some really nice and soft blue, white and pink colors. The architecture of the houses, shops, and other buildings really leaves me in awe. Worth a visit! I really enjoyed my time here.
