Visited this area for the first time and this is a great to visit if you want a walk, or to go fishing, or play football, or to sit and have a picnic with your friends and family, as there are plenty of seating,so if you are near by and would like to chill have a look. Great public with several playgrounds for kids and even an open air swimming pool. Good place for a family day out! Lovely! Love the fact that there are workout places everywhere across the park. Parque Municipal Zeca Afonso, just across the river, is a peaceful green space honoring the iconic Portuguese musician. With views, shady trees, open lawns, and local sculptures, it’s perfect for a relaxing break, a stroll by the water, or soaking in a slower side of the city…. Beautiful, lots of flowers and trees. Beautiful to see in the spring! full of bouganvilles and other colourful flowers! The is very big, great place for a long walk or running, or still sitting under the trees near to the river. There are lakes and many courts for sports. Delightful place. It's well maintained some of the benches need upgrade but I'm here every week. It's huge. A huge amount of green zones by the river, with many kinds of sport venues, playground, and water park. I personally like to the car near one of the ends and do a power walk to the other end, while my kid burns some energy on the bike then on the playground. Pretty next to the with a water park. We even saw some flamingos walking along the bed at low tide. Has a few exercise machines plus basketball and tennis court and a play area for kids. In summer, pre-covid times, the water was open which was nice place to cool down in the summer with kids water area.
