There are plenty of restaurants and fast food outlets with loads of choice of different cuisines. Lots of seating available, but it can get busy at peak times. It's a bit hard to score the food and service in The Orient given that it's a food hall with numerous outlets selling a of different foods of varying quality and standards of service, however there should be enough choice for everyone to find something they like. My daughter went to WingStop and I went to HOP Vietnamese so we both got something to suit our individual tastes. There's plenty of seating but it can get busy and noisy at time so it's defintely not a place for a quiet or romantic meal! So many different places to eat all under one roof. Excellent seating facilities, clean and not overcrowded. The Orient is a brilliant food at the Trafford Centre with a wide selection of well-known restaurant brands and takeaway options. We tried a few different stalls and the food was consistently good fresh, tasty, and served quickly even when busy. It has a huge of cuisines from around the world. The food quality is also very good. This is all takeaway food, so the youngsters loved it. It is very pricy though, and it's not easy to find a place to sit despite so many seats. A grand food within the Trafford Centre. This place is originally called Eastern Gates, but whenever you the food at Trafford Centre, it always shows on the map as The Orient, which isn’t accurate. There are renowned brands here, from KFC to popular pizza chains. There are also halal food options, but very limited. I went to Shere Khan Express, as it looked like the authentic Indian/Pakistani food I was after. The brands here seemed overpriced, maybe because of the location, but I wasn’t too impressed with the self-service facilities. All shops are self-service, no table service is provided. You carry your food and grab a seat as soon as one becomes available. I visited on a Monday, and it was already quite crowded. I can only imagine how packed it gets on weekends. There are cleaners who keep the area tidy and help reset tables quickly for the next guests. That said, with such high food prices, I’d recommend that each restaurant should also have their own dedicated cleaner (maybe they already do and I just didn’t notice). Ambience is the main attraction of this place. It looks traditional and palace, like, which adds to its charm. Lots of photogenic spots, definitely worth exploring and snapping some pictures. Basically if you've eaten at chain in the past you will find it here. It's huge! I've tried a few of the restaurants and haven't come across one that's "bad" yet. All the servers have been super nice and have been informed when I've queried anything on the menus. The alcohol is say is generally expensive (£7 for a pint) but then again I'm from Scotland. If you want cheap and cheerful drink and micro food head to Spoons here, it's the same as most I've been in, including the long walk to the toilet!
