If you want the full experience, you can also the (7 CHF per person), go through the labyrinth (5 CHF per person, if I remember correctly), your own ball (20 CHF per person), and have a drink or snack at the café by the lake. The preshow gives a good historical overview of history. Unfortunately it was in German Highly educational, engaging, and interactive! The had an amazing time making their own balls, which made the both fun and memorable. Kids up to 10y have a admission. Great activity, with various educational activities for adults and children. Don't forget the lakeside games (controllable fountain) and the playground. The outlet is also very well stocked. Definitely worth a visit! (Raiffeisen bank users can enter for free) Glasi Hergiswil is a where you can actually go and watch them make different objects on the spot! It is super hot in there, as you can imagine, with the big hot stoves they have, (duh, melting sand!) but it is a super ‘cool’ that every age enjoys! We went when the were 4 and they are even more interested now when they are older. I wouldn’t recommend the with the smaller kids, but the factory, a huge playground with a slide (beware, the slide is super fast!), a dragon and a BIG marble run, as well as the labyrinth, all of those are amazing for kids! At the slide/marble run, you can purchase marbles they make in the factory. A bag costs 6.- and is quite affordable. The you can for free, but the and the labyrinth are paid (very reasonable price TBH). The playground is free, the water play behind the building as well, and you get the beautiful views of the lake. Check out those mountains and colors! Inside, another section is also to visit, where you can make music with cups, different objects, which was actually my favourite bit, and they have a first choice store where you can buy plates, glasses and other things. The second choice store is right across the street. Inside the you can pay 20.- and you get to your own bauble which you can then hang on the ceiling with some fairy lights! Not expensive for such a unique experience!! This place is amazing and you can surely spend some good 3 + hours here. On a rainy day this place saved us with our 6yr old girl🌦 Interesting place2visit! We had an English automatic guided tour through speakers. It led us from room to room; then the factory's part to actually see how few things are done. If curious, one can even try to actually into a ball shape! Wearing gloves and slippers ;) outside the restaurant has a good selection of food to choose from AND CLOSE TO THE TOILET THERE IS AN AMAZING AND HUGE MARBLE RUN! We found it by coincidence on another day☆ Swiss siblings played it and we heard the sound and walked down by memory lane back to their childhood when played it the last time!♡. You can by the balls from the vending machine and enjoy how they roll down for minutes with their beautiful sound☆☆ A wonderful few hours with my family at the glassworks. We started in the labyrinth which was extremely fun and engaging, it was great to walk through with our gloved hands guiding us. After this we went to the exhibit and saw the beautiful works over and over the history, next we watched the incredible makers in action working so artistically over raging furnaces. Our highlight was blowing our own ball, which was so much fun and the gentleman running this was amazing passionate about his work and proudly shared many photos and stories of his time as Glasi. While our blown was setting we hopped across the road to the restaurant and had a very nice and relaxed lunch in a very nice setting. On our return to Glasi we went through the tour before collecting our blown and heading to both the gift shop and across the road to the outlet. Avery enjoyed day. And I can only imagine how beautiful it will be in the summer with lake Lucerne glistening. Will 100% take more of my visitor's here when they are visiting me here in Switzerland.
