Came without a reservation and we were rudely turned away 👎 They are serving Roman style pizza, we ate a Diavola one it wasn't perfect but it was good. Could be more souce on it. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Price was normal, €13.80. The is okay, not fantastic. Hard crust, but some people like that. What I liked less is that we were tricked into spending more. To create our pizza, tomato could be added to a cheaper or some items could ne removed from a much more expensive one. The waiter insisted on the latter and later we found out why: modifying an existing costs 1 euro extra, hence we paid 17 instead of 15 euros. Unfortunately we found out after having paid and given a tip, because we didn’t get to see the bill prior to paying. First and last time for us here Pizzeria da Leopoldo was recommended by friends to me for their good food and ambiente. Maybe we were just unlucky that day when we ate their. We had to wait for almost 2 hrs. to get a table. Reservation was only till 4pm that day possible, and the fish selection was limited to sardines only. The was tasty but far from being crunchy. When got cold we had a hard time to slice it. Maybe you get luckier and all will be fine for you. I always check the places around and read reviews when visiting a new location. First, I want to emphasize that the service and quality of the here are excellent. If you have based your opinion on previous reviews mentioning flat and slightly burnt pizzas, it may be because you are unfamiliar with this style of and are looking for an American-style instead. If that's the case, this might not be the place for you, as the here isn't the fluffy, fatty kind typical of American styles. However, if you appreciate authentic pizza, this is definitely the right place for you, and you won't be disappointed. The service is also commendable. Thanks for a wonderful evening. Siciliana is my favorite overall and I ate the best Version of it in Pizzeria da Leopold. Service was fast and waiters were really friendly. Prices were also very affordable compared to some other places nearby. Highly recommended! Right by the "Wörthersee", friendly waiters despite being very busy, drinks arrived quickly, but we had to wait a bit for the as the restaurant was full. However, it was worth the wait because it tasted great. Would definitely come back, especially because of the lovely Christmas market by the lake.
