A nice tower on the top of a hill where you can see the whole town and also some parts around it. The place is not heated, even though it's closed, so expect to wear something similar as you wear outside, especially during colder months. It's free of charge to enter the observatory. As a free attraction this place is great where we can see Jyvaskyla as a in a whole and 360 degrees view. Excellent even on a rainy day! The best views of the - for free! Either take the stairs if you're up for an exercise or take the elevator (almost) to the top, you still have to climb one stairs up. It's not very accessible therefor. You have a beautiful almost 360° of the from this tower and for the kids or interested adults you can combine the visit with the natural history museum in the same building or perhaps have lunch/coffee with a great in the tower's restaurant Definitely need to see, if you visit Jyväskylä. Free entry and beautiful views! Amazing of Jyväskylä. I would categorised it as a 'must visit'. Amazing till tje eyes can see .. Wow , this was a great place to see the and all it's delights. You can get to the top by entering the Natural History Museum and then turning to the right. There you will find a staircase and an elevator, which sadly doesn't go all the way up, so if you come with a wheelchair you still need to climb 1 level of staircases. The was amazing, you can practically see each and every part of the city. Not for handicapped people, gets very crowded in summer days (especially July), and the lift is tiny. Apart from that, this place is a must to visit in Jyväskylä, especially at a clear day from spring to autumn. Great views to all directions. I actually haven't visited this place at winter, got to do that. P.S. If you manage to be here when there's a thunderstorm, it's amazing to look at. Coffee and pastries are excellent!
