There is a park area and at its end there is the old inner town which requires ya tax for visiting. The tax is small and the inner town is an interesting site, with views over the Danube. Jedna z największych budowli tego typu w południowo-wschodniej Europie. Very nice place to visit, more than 500 years of history, is a huge medieval fortress, the small city is open to public, good to see, 100% recomended Обновите више ову тврђаву ово је срамота за нашу земљу castle with an amazing view, a must if you are in the area. Wow this is an amazing with many views on the Danube. You can also access the for free where you’ll find a nice athletic courtyard and many places to chill. If you are in the vicinity of Smederevo you MUST see this place. We stayed there more than 2 hours without much rest time. So plenty to view and walk. Huge with nice views. Tickets can be paid by card Amazing stronghold! The Smederevo is an awe-inspiring structure. As noted on Wikipedia, it stands as the largest and best-preserved along the Danube, embodying the symbolism and might of Serbian civilization. The edifice is colossal, comprising not only the itself but also an inner section enclosed within its formidable walls. We were fortunate to on a day when the light and mist created a magical atmosphere. We had the place almost to ourselves, with only one other couple wandering about. This genuine medieval giant dates back to 1427, though it was preceded by the Roman city of Vinceia in the 1st century BC. It served as the capital of the Serbian state in 1440, and thereafter, it witnessed a tumultuous series of imperial shifts and transformations too numerous to recount. The walls suffered significant damage in 1941 when it was used as a supply depot by the German army. Partisans orchestrated a sabotage operation involving a train, which caused a massive explosion. The blast destroyed part of the floor and a section of the city, resulting in the tragic loss of 2,000 lives. Absolutely must see object! Entrance ticket cost is 250 RSD for adult. Should be better maintained in order to correspond to its historic significance. Super mesto za izlet Amazing fort from medieval Serbia, boasting HUGE walls. Really place to visit. A very fortress, you can even walk through it and climb to the top, the view is beautiful. It's really interesting to see something so big and old stil in good condition. Must see place in Smederevo! The most important place of Serbian history. You can it anytime especially during festival seasons in September a wonderful place for sightseeing and a short break Mali grad tvrđave, simpatičan, može da se penje na kule, lep pogled. Uložite malo u (ostatak) tvrđave :/ Dobar WC 10/10 TELEĆA ČORBA VRH👌👌👌 Nice with water and city backdrop. Ticket seller tried to charge me more with cash when I asked him the price. Only knew once I paid with credit card. Wanted 250 but was only 150 entrance fee. Preporucujem obilazak It’s a castle. The small town is closed due to renovation. So if you plan to it you can’t.
