Hyvin hoidettu kenttä I played Rae Golf for the first time and it was a nice experience. The course is good and the practice area is helpful. Some parts could use a bit more cleaning, and the pro shop is quite small. On PAR 6 there isn’t proper parking and the tee is a bit too small. Overall, still a nice place to play and I’d come back. Washing and sauna area is decent. Covered practice area with monitors are quite nice Partly under constructions but playable. It looks to be a great course when completed. Water obstructions bountyful. Nice and calm golf course situated 20 min outside Tallinn. There is a new driving range and some other facilities under construction. The staff speaks good English. Great facilities. Very clean clubhouse and the driving range is great. Course is very well maintained and there are works ongoing to improve and develop the place. I booked a beginner course on friend’s recommendation, who attended a week or two earlier. I was really looking forward to visiting Rae golf and learning to golf. When I arrived on the day, there wasn’t even a hello. Nobody even checked my name and frankly my gut feeling was telling me to turn around and leave there and then. But I thought I’d give it a chance, maybe they are all supper busy there and this formality just slipped somehow. When booking the course I ticked languages I speak are English and Russian but somehow got allocated to an Estonian group. Needless to say, I didn’t understand a word. When queried why that was the case, both the trainer and the admin clerk were puzzled, as was I. I thought maybe I’ll persevere and at least try to hit a few balls even without any understanding how to hit or hold the club. But then at lunch break I went to the restaurant, which was quite busy and only one waitress on the whole floor. Ok, fine. I’ve asked her whether I order at the bar or at the table and she said she’d come to take my order. After 20 min waiting, I decided to head off.. too many disappointments on the day. To my amazement the waiter was casually scrolling tiktoks on her phone.. ah, anyway.. I was too upset to care by that point and quite frankly I cried a little on my ride back home. A few weeks after that I receive an email inviting me to upgrade to season membership. And I decided to give my frank opinion about my visit to the manager. He apologised and said that a full refund will be issued. I thought, ok great, maybe I was just unlucky on the day, and there is actually some customer care and ‘club’ culture. But here we are a month or more later and no refunds have been issued. Why have they suggested that in the first place I don’t know. This place just keeps disappointing. I wish I didn’t waste my day there.. learnt nothing, got a portion of ignore, and some more lies after… Fun little parkland course. A bit tight on some holes, then a lot of room on others. Some idiocy on design, like a lone birch tree in the middle of a par 5, or a flat bunker in the middle of the fairway. Suggested they add two bushes next to the birch tree on both sides so the message is clear to everyone why that tree still stands, no response. Was in decent condition in August.
