I got the lamb with Greek-style potatoes. I was disappointed with the vegetables and the brown sauce (I would have personally liked something more "Greek" tasting), but the lamb meat itself was very good! I will be ordering again, but asking for tzatiki instead of whatever sauce they normally use. Probably visiting in a weekday wasn't a good idea. The manager kept coming in from the front door to take the order, then he went to the bar on the other side of the road to take a smoke with friends, coming back again when needed. The other staff member did the rest of the work, without saying a word in norwegian. Food was ok, but no wow experience, and call it a personal preference but a moussaka with almost no eggplant and lots of potatoes is not as tasty as it should. Fantastisk god mat. But, I was pleasantly surprised by Zorba Restaurant. This place offers, and I dare to say, the BEST food in Sandefjord. I am from Croatia and I love Balkan style cuisines, Zorbas has excellent services and the food is simply phenomenal. It reminds me of home. But not only that, the simple look of the place, without any unnecessary bells and whistles. The ambient is quite cozy and feels like Balkan. Nice music is playing in the background. The personnel are very helpful for dish selection and they are always making sure that you are well taken care of. Food was phenomenal. I believe the pictures speak for themselves, rich taste, and I can tell you probably the best baked potato that I have tasted in Norway. I would give this place 10 stars. But 5 stars is the limit. I recommend it all the way, every day. Owner/waiter was very helpful, food tasted nice, the vibe of the place is really cozzy! Prices are reasonable. Visit on a weekday. The owner didn’t pay much attention while the waiter was much more friendlier. The dish didn’t quite serve up to what I expected. Small portions Been a fan of food for many years, and when I saw this restaurant by coincidence I had to give it a try. Overall I was very pleased with my visit to zorba. The food was of great quality and very tasteful. Almost like a visit to a taverna. However, the food was quite expencive compared to the size of the portion. The salad, which was served to most meals, was delicious, but too small. I'm not a fan of large cunks of red onion in the salad either. Should have been finely chopped in stead. Pros: - The food was served fairly quick - The meat was perfectly cooked and juicy - Authentic atmosphere & music Cons: - A few appetizers were not available to order - Relatively small portions (and thus a bit pricy) - Small selection of beers and wines - Was hoping for a wider selection of desserts. I will definetely come back later on, and by then I hope the management have adjusted the size of the portions and added more authenthic desserts like loukoumades or melopita. I have been living in Norway for a little less than 3 years, and this has been, by far, the best, most delicious and authentic restaurant I’ve visited. Mr. Dimitris is a wonderful man, and the food served here is amazing. The restaurant is clean, tidy with a touch of interior on details. Recommended for SURE! Eks: Gyro ala svinestrimler, kalamari fra fryser’n på Meny. I overkant dyrt; eks. type gresk salat til en pris over 200kr!! Mht matro kan man forvente litt trafikk, når en sitter ute. Men når lokale helter sitter og er synlig beruset og en må sitte å høre på fyllarøret, gjør det ikke til noe hyggeligere besøk.
