The trail itself was absolutely beautiful, through the mountains and plains. I participated in the adrenalin tour, where you will gallop a lot. Halfway through the I got lunch and afterwards we got cake and cheese. Thanks a lot for this experience. What’s to see the beauties of Macedonia, the mountains ⛰️ at high elevation with clear air feels like dialysis for your lungs, people and guide and the tastiest cheese you will ever try. Book well in advance it’s busy in the summer. The guides are perfect. They give you a introduction to horseback (especially useful for complete newbies) and then take you to a nice route that leads you a amount up and downhill. They will also take a picture of you at one very scenic spot. The food afterwards was also great after the long trip. THE BEST First a by myself and it was really amazing. The and the handlers that work there are all and attentive. We went on a 3 hour route and to be honest it was really great. The are well trained but you still have to be careful and not to panic. The guys are very skilled with the horses, and they provide an additional level of security when with you. At the end of the tour, you receive a nice meal and rakija👏 P.S. The landscapes are breathtaking, the are very well trained, the staff are very firendly, bilingual and professional, and the meal we had after the ride was the cherry on top of the cake! It is definitely worth visiting as I've suggested it to all of my friends and I highly recommend it to anyone who's interested in trying new adventurous things. They allowed us to gallop, she was very spirited and smart. Highly recommend this experience. I did the Miyak tribe trail. A once of a life and life altering adventure. I went on a Rusin Trail and can’t wait to try the other tours. I will recommend it to anyone who loves nature and wants to try something new, like riding. We decided to go for the shortest Rusin trail. Upon arrival we found out it will be just the two of us, so we had a completely private tour. The weather was great and we had a sweet guide Romeo, who didn't speak English much, but was trying hard and was keen to answer all our questions. Our Angel and Sultan were fantastic. All the animals were in a very shape. Unfortunately, there were no sheep in the Rusin farm, so we haven't seen the cheese making process as advertised. However, we enjoyed the meal afterwards a lot. Highly professional and well organized team by Sherpa riding. Very reliable and client safety are key elements differentiate Sherpa from other operator.We (3 people) had taken 5 day trekking even though my friends never ever ride a in their life.But Vasko had taken care of them very well especially their safety. The Bucephalus trails trek started with Sherpa Ranch in Galichnik village through village of Lazaropole and Gari which include forest,Mountains, streams and sheep farms & last day ended up camping at the scenic mountains with Sunset & Sun rise. We love the fresh specific foods especially cooked for us..What an trek!!! From the of our arrival in Skopje airport until our departure we kept fully updated on all our programs even the guides were very friendly and helpful during the entire trip. On horseback, with the majestic Klepa Peak as our daily compass, I felt like Dionysus himself: immersed in nature, wine, abundance, and pure joy. Every day held new wonders. From galloping through endless hills and vineyards to the quiet magic of scenic viewpoints where Klepa Peak always watched over us. It was on that very first day, standing atop the peak, that my heart was captured. Finding it each day from a new perspective became a ritual. The landscapes were nothing short of spectacular, but it was the people who made this unforgettable. Vasko, our guide, led us with strength, knowledge, and warmth. Ramadan, our backup guide, was a steady presence with a constant smile and helping hand. And then there was George. The soul of the kitchen. What this man creates is not just food—it’s love served on a plate. Every dish was prepared with such care and passion, it became a journey in itself. His meals brought us together, left us speechless, and filled us with happiness again and again. We visited incredible wineries, each with its own story and hosted by the kindest people. We learned how wine is made and selected, and we were always welcomed like old friends. One of the highlights was visiting a beekeeping farm, where we tasted honeycomb straight from the hive, learned about production, and enjoyed the world’s best breakfast in a dreamlike setting between the vines. And as if that wasn’t enough, midway through the week we were treated to a gin tasting and BBQ at one of the most spots imaginable. There, we also learned to make Ajvar—a beloved Macedonian specialty that I now carry with pride (and a bit of craving!) as a memory from these days. Every single moment felt just right. The flavors, the smells, the people, the horses, the land. Everything. This was my second in Macedonia, and once again this country stole my heart. The landscapes and the people are so pure and honest, it doesn’t feel like tourism—it feels like coming home. None of this would’ve been possible without Vasko, Ramadan, and George. Their love for their land, their dedication, and their care for every rider was present in everything. Thanks to them, this was not just a trip, but an I will carry with me forever.
