Worth seeing if you visiting this part of HU. Take audioguide because you will get some interesting information about this geological attraction (and also due to the poor english of tour guide). A tour takes about 40-50 minutes. I’m sure you can book online in advance or by the ticket office by the cave. German, Dutch and English audio guides are available. The is cold, around 12 Celsius degrees, so a light jacket can be handy in summer. Fresh, extremely clean air and water welcome you, with stunning view points. The entrance and some parts of the ceiling are very low, therefore you need to bend over several times. I’m sure it is possible to get through by wheelchair, occasionally and with extra care.. but I can’t guarantee. It is not allowed to take any photos or videos throughout the journey, however the most does. I don’t know why is this ban, majority of the recent mobile phones can take clear pictures without any harm (no flashlights needed) to the cave’s nature. The guide lady was funny, well educated and kind with any questions. Do not hesitate to visit this amazing site, worth every penny! It’s a normal serene environment. Beautiful surroundings and there’s a museum around there. A nice place to spend some alone time or with a company This place is hosted by very nice people. The cashier who couldn’t speak English got a tour guide to explain the tour to us. Both of them were very friendly and hospitable. The caves are interesting although very young in regards to Limestone caves so not too many stalactite and stalagmite formations like you would find in the of caves, "Jeita" in Lebanon. A fair price to enter and a pleasant side trip with plenty of parking, shops and restaurants. Don’t forget to ask about a student ticket if you are travelling with students. I would recommend. Guide is enthusiastic and the is spectacular, but not outstanding compared to other caves in Hungary. Well worth a detour combined with a visit to the nearby bat museum and lake. Low entrance and 80 some stairs at the end to visit the last hall (optional). The was amazing, we were walking 500m and the temperature was only 11 degrees. You can see many different shapes of rock which was created thousands years ago. The best thing in for me was champer of healthy. In that part of there is no dust, air is very clean and full of minerals such as magnesium and calcium. If you have any problems with asthma or allergies you just breathe deep. Very beautiful but take some clothes because there is 14°C Abaliget is a wonderful with interesting structures. A little stream flows along the walk path and there is even a colony of bats. surroundings, the lake, grass lawn and such are well taken care of. However, it's really disappointing the lack of enthusiasm and people skills of the staff. They don't speak English and when asked in English they just turn their head and ignore. When we called before the visit as soon as we started to speak English they hang-up the phone. I'm certain the whole visit would be much more interesting if the staff had put any effort.
