We visited this place on Sunday during Autumn season. The weather was awesome and the place was really beautiful especially during the Autumn season where the leaves were shedding. The lake side view was amazing and it's really cool to walk beside it It is highly recommended if you would like to have the sensation in this region. Crowded in the afternoon. Alcohol was not allowed to be brought in and the drinks at the bar were quite expensive. But it was still fine. Wonderful place to enjoy the nice breeze beside the river Also there is a restaurant, mini golf and sand to have the experience of being at the Great place to hang out. Maintained very well. Fun for to play in sand and grass and roam around. There are swinging beds to chill. Toilets are also well maintained. It's a beautiful place. There is a shady spot on the grass. There is a sandy beach. You can with your own SUP-board, but you can also rent one. There are good courts for volleyball. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of a children's beach. You can only get into the water from the pier. It is very deep there. Our daughter was very upset, but after I took her for a ride on a SUP-board, the mood returned)). All in all, very cosy, but not for families with small children who like to splash around in knee-deep water. Parking is free, but it's a bit of a walk from the car park. You can bring your own fruit and snacks, but not food (like chicken). The best part is the availability of free chairs. The concerts that are held here are very good. "Big stars" give their best at the concerts... great... Summer vibes. Beautiful, cleaned, well maintained place. We enjoyed a happy sunday with our kids. Food and drink also available inside. Cleaned toilets. 2hrs Ferries tour is a must to see beautiful lake. Must visit again. There are only two small spots to swim, there are multiple lifeguards feet away from those designated swimming spots but they won't let (even with parents) of the aren't proficient swimmers. This could be understandable if the were alone, but we had two and 4 adults who could all and the lifeguards still kicked our out. Ridiculous, I'd recommend finding s other spot It's a good place to have events. I was there with my company and had a lot of fun. Food and drinks were great. We choose a trail and got lost for sometime but when we had the view of the lake, it was all worth it. If you are going with kids, plan properly and make sure the route it pram friendly, our was not. Over all, always nice to comeback and enjoy this side of Baldeneysee. One of the first finds in Essen. A beautiful serene and a place to be yourself. There are some quiet cafes nearby if you need to munch. The sunsets are pretty amazing and I would go to this place for some me time We had arrived 15 min ago at the beach, and my 4 year old girl couldn’t flood the beach. She just asked to wash her hands off the sand. That is why i turned on the tap which is on the beach. Normally it is for washing hands and body. The way you shouted at the other boys who were playing before us, i thought you are their father, because nowhere else i have seen someone talk so rude to other people’s kids. An owner of a premise shouting at guests instead of explaining something… But again my daughter wanted to wash her hands, we were not opening that water for playing. Your aggression towards a guest just washing hands speaks volumes about your education. Your own employees are saying that you are a rude person who talks nasty to them. And you should better not save water on cleaning those dirty toilets of yours. Pity this beautiful location has ugly owner like you. We had a bad experience here. We were not told at the entrance that it was NOT ALLOWED FOR to if they can not by themselves, and the only reason for us to get into the place in the first instance was to as a family together. We spent 11€ for tow adults and less than 10 minutes to find out that we could not say there, the person in the entrance refused to give us a refund.
