Worth a visit! Family owned where you can learn about the production of and go back in time and visit the of a former representative of Lefkara laces. Very interesting! Moreover the village is well preserved and you can enjoy a small walk around old stone houses. Definitely a far better choice than visiting the super touristic Lefkara. A great and informative museum, that is worth a visit if you are in the area. We have entered the from the back, and we wasn't sure where we had to go, but then we were in the court yard, by a lady. After we have paid our entry fee, we have been left alone ti explore the 3 downstairs rooms, which it remind me so much of my grandmother's in the village. In the first room it was all about the making of and it's history. The second room it was about how they lived in the villages years ago, and the third room it was all about the agricultural side of life, with equipment from years ago. After we have finished from the downstairs section we have been taken to the upstairs part of the which it was the embroidery museum. It had a lot of personal items on display and it was very informative. The old Legkaritika lace it was everywhere to he seen. I totally recommend the place as you learn a lot from it. Had a lovely tour from the owner, who told us the amazing history and stories about her family and the town. About bees and beekeeping, the embroidery and lace they make in this town and region and the ways they used to work the land way back in time. Such a charming small town and museum, where you can also buy lots of products e.g. and soap. The Bee & Embroidery is a truly special place that celebrates the rich cultural and natural heritage of Cyprus. Housed in a beautifully restored traditional home, the showcases exquisite local embroidery alongside fascinating exhibits about beekeeping and production. The combination might sound unusual at first, but it works perfectly – offering insight into the craftsmanship and rural life of the region. The embroidery is delicate and stunning, a real testament to generations of skill, while the bee exhibits are informative and engaging. The hosts were kind and passionate, eager to share stories and answer questions. You leave not only with a deeper appreciation for Cypriot traditions but also with a smile on your face. Don’t miss this little gem if you’re in the area – it’s both educational and heartwarming. Wonderful interesting museum.
