Then a day spent in the mountains is a welcome change. Excellent trail, with wonderful views. Relativelt easy one, with less than 100m of elevation gain. Can be done with kids. A very scenic with changing landscapes. Easy but interesting. There is free parking. Such a beautiful Trail! It is really worth it. Definitely wear appropriate shoes and take enough water with you. Most of it is through the woods so there's enough shade but there's also enough sunlight so wear sunscreen and maybe a hat if you're sensible to it. It is not appropriate for small children or those with mobility aids, just look at the pictures. We saw a couple going in with a baby and a stroller - they couldn't go all the way through. But otherwise really nice. A wonderful way to experience the Trodous mountains. It is a 7.5 km (circular), circling the Olympus peak. The height of the is 1850m, with no uphills or downhills. Just circling in a straight line around the summit with amazing views, of all sides of the Trodous. The is approx. 50% under shade, and suitable even to 5-6 years old, since the is easy to walk on. The is very clear and it is impossible to get lost. Parking is free, just at the beginning of the trail. It was so peaceful but when you are with a group of friends the fun multiply. The views were stunning too! This is a really great - well marked and wide (mostly), flat and safe tracks with fantastic views. The goes right through the Cyprus Ski area also which is intriguing to see.
